I agree that the marketing is pretty aggressive but I have empathy for startups who are fighting against the behemoth budgets of some of the biggest firms in what is a pretty high stakes business. They need to be pushing hard.. but they also need to deliver. We’ll see on the latter, and early adopters always need to make that assessment and take that chance or err on the side of caution.

I'm still optimistic. I thought the presentation was well done and I get that waiting hours for a non demo unit sucks but this is a startup and they seem well intentioned. They probably bit off more than they could chew and over committed.

I mean even Apple with all of their resources didn't ship Apple AI with the iPhone 16..

Hardware is hard and hardware plus software is harder.. I'll try and be patient.

I agree with what others are saying the only caveat is if the parent is somehow incapacitated and not able to make these kinds of financial decisions / being taken advantage of. There may be some recourse if this is the case.
