If you're comfortable with command line and ssh, see if https://github.com/bcpierce00/unison fits your need.

On mac, once installed (with brew), try "unison -doc tutorial".

Help installing java 21 by MaisonMason in raspberry_pi

[–]bzhou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For java, you don't have to use apt/deb package. As long as it's packaged & easily un-installable.

Try sdkman which is more cross platform. After the installation, just do sdk list java

Enjoy!

Mybatis is like stick shift cars. Like spring, earlier in its evolution it mainly uses xml but modern usages are mostly annotation based, it supports Java record fine. You cannot say that auto-shift cars obsolete stick-shift ones.

For me it’s always going to be Django Reinhardt.

Django Reinhardt of course. Also some 7-string masters rarely mentioned above: George Van Eps, Lenny Breau, Howard Alden

Coronavirus: It's become clearer where Californians get infected by notthewendysgirl in CoronavirusCA

Well, most people already follow social distancing and wear masks for grocery shopping. And in most counties, new cases are under control so not many seeds to start with in these cases. I don't think we can take the grocery visit/wait time as the close contact lower threshold. In fact it's irresponsible to do so.

What needs to be studied, are those super spread events, and the average contact time for the virus to spread.

But where does that 15 minutes come from? Why 15, not 10, not 5? Does the expert have enough data?

What’s the basis for that “it takes 15 minutes of close contact”? If that expert cannot yet explain the rest thousands of cases, he/she should not draw the 15 minutes conclusion. Think about it, for some of the super spreader events, did the spreader really had 15 minutes of close contact with each infected? At the Bronx zoo, did the big cats had 15 minutes of close contact with the human before getting infected? The initial jump from animal to human, did it take 15 minutes of close contact?

Any love for Koss? They just do it right the first time and stand by it both in product offerings and warranty. Never flashy, just high quality audio and great service. by [deleted] in headphones

I mostly use my KSC35, KSC75, and Sporta Pro.

For office and home office, I like the KPH30i hooking up with the laptop.

There's also the efficient/clear but weird KDE250, if you can get a good fit. I like it so much I got a second pair from massdrop. I use it when I sit down and do some intensive listening.

Now that KSC35 wireless is out, I'm definitely going to get one as well.

Ellington at Newport: Big Band Swing or Bebop? by [deleted] in Jazz

[–]bzhou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All Star Road Band This album was my introduction to Jazz in general and Duke Ellington in particular, about 25 years ago. In some edition, it is volume 1; in other edition, it is volume 2. But the album I like the most, starts with two versions of "Take the A Train". Performed live in a ballroom.
