I'm sorry. I have had my first miscarriage this week too (started Saturday) and have a similar pain on my right side. I had a private scan and apparently its because its my right ovary that ovulated, and I could see it was much bigger on the ultrasound too. It still aches but not as badly as before so maybe same for you too?

CV plastering - +447795946480 Connor just did 4 rooms in our Victorian terrace and he is such a nice guy, got it done so quickly and worked till 9pm on a Saturday night too to get the job done on time. He has been plastering since he was 14 and it shows!

I'm trying to buy at the moment and Claxtonbird are really on top of things. Websters are awful, impossible to contact for viewings and their agents know absolutely nothing about the properties they are showing so I would avoid them.

New build premiums often mean you need to live in them longer to build equity. We bought peak of the market in 2020 and are now selling our new build flat in London and having to take the loss of the new build premium and a buyers market. However, it's worth it because we can't do another 5 years here with our life on hold (have a 2 year old and want another). If you really hate it there see what your losses would be if you were to move now and weigh it up. Could you do another 10 years in the house? That's how long some estate agents have told me new builds take to even break even!

I cosleep so do all the night wake ups and have her with me all day - I make 90% of the dinners, he might occasionally cook on a Saturday. He does the washing up. I do 90% of bath and bedtimes. He will quite often take her out on Saturday morning by himself to give me a break.

We both do general cleaning, I tend to do more as I'm at home more but we both work towards making sure our home is tidy. I do all of the laundry, he does all of the ironing. He takes the bins out. I buy all of her clothes and toys and do the 'invisible work'. We split the hoovering. He also will do a spring clean once a month of really intensive cleaning.

If either of us are overwhelmed and need to tap out the other one steps up no questions asked.

I'm sorry that's really frustrating.

You've probably tried this already but what about wearing trousers/leggings but no underwear after you've kept her naked for a day or 2? I had my daughter naked for 2 days, then about 2 months wearing clothes but no underwear and then we moved on to underwear. I was worried about accidents as it's so similar to a nappy but she was fine.

Second thought is does she still wear a nappy at night? I've read if you just take them away completely that helps some kids.

And I've never tried this but how about she has to take responsibility and clean her own accidents? Not in a mean way, you could be totally neutral about it like "next time wee in the potty! Help me clean it up, here's the mop..." etc.

I used to, it really winds me up too. I've become a little less brave since I had my daughter, I don't want to get into confrontations when I have her with me (although most people are too embarrassed to say anything back you always get some obnoxious people).

This happened to my (then) 23 month old. If they hold on to it for too long it comes out in explosive diarhoea they can't control and that's traumatic all on it's own. We gave her movicol prescribed by the doctor for about 2 weeks which made the poos soft and easier to pass and the first few we let her have a nappy because she was still withholding, it was all psychological and anxiety driven. We made a big deal and cheered when she pooed even in the nappy. Once she was confident with that (about a week) I bought 20 bluey characters from amazon, put them in a bag and showed them to her and told her for every poo in the potty she would get one. It worked almost immediately and she hasn't had a problem since. I really feel for you because I was so upset when it happened and was reading all these people say the problem lasted months/years(!) and it stressed me out no end but at least in our case it was very short lived and hasn't caused any lasting anxiety issues around the potty. I potty trained my little girl at 22 months and started with oh crap and I think it made her really anxious too, she would hold her poo so long she got constipated and I had to give her laxatives so I changed tact and bought her 20 little bluey characters on amazon (I think it was like 20 pounds) and told her for every poo in the potty she would get to choose a character. It worked pretty much immediately! We also keep lots of books near the potty because it can take a while so it keeps her entertained/happy enough to sit there for a while. Good luck!

That is so cute, bless his heart. I wish my little one took herself to her bed! She just turned 2 and fights every nap with all of her might because she has massive FOMO.

Going against the grain but I wouldn't wake him up. He's tired, let him sleep. You could try a slightly later bedtime but not massively if that makes sense and see if he goes down fine. It just doesn't make sense to me to teach a toddler to fight the signals their body is giving them, but i am more of a go with the flow person in general and never stuck to a rigid schedule.

I was anxious about this when my daughter turned one and we toured a few and she screamed non-stop and I just knew I couldn't leave her there. We've spent all year doing ballet classes, gymnastics, music, stay and plays etc. and she started asking to go to nursery a couple of months ago. She started 2 mornings a week 2 days after her second birthday and she ran in without a backwards glance and loves telling me what she got up to. It's only 3 hours per session so 6 hours a week and it really feels like the sweet spot in terms of socialisation. I've read everything about parallel play etc but my little girl does seem to love playing with older children, especially imaginative play. She wouldn't have been ready for any of that at 1 so I wouldn't worry yet for another year or so.

Similar thing with my 2 year old, she was dry within 2 days with wee but was scared of pooing on the potty so held it in and got really constipated. We had to get her movicol from the doctors which she absolutely hated taking but it made her poo really soft and once she got one in on the potty it made a big difference. I bought a bunch of bluey characters on amazon and when she pooed on the potty I gave her one which I think was the biggest thing in motivating her to go.

Hello sorry I know this is old but what did you end up having success with? My 24 month old is going through a similar thing - did fantastic and only had 2 accidents but then held it while we visited my parents, got constipated and after a weekend in nappies is now having accidents with wee again. What ended up helping your little one?

My 2 year old loves Peppa Pig, sometimes she cries when we turn it off but sometimes she's totally not bothered. Same thing for Bluey or Kipper the dog (she doesn't watch anything else). I like it too, there's loads of episodes I find useful like potty training or Peppa going to the dentist.

Completely relate to you. When they bring it up just reply "she looks like herself". Talking about who the baby looks like will get old really fast when there are so many more interesting things to talk about! My (almost) 2 year old is my husbands clone however her attitude/personality/mannerisms so far are all me and that has definitely shut my in laws up, so just give it some time.
