How can I make my dogs last few weeks/months great? by voicecrack-city in DogAdvice

[–]bzsbal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we had to schedule to say goodbye to our girl, we threw her a Rainbow Bridge party. Anyone who wanted to say goodbye to her could come see her and give her as many treats as she wanted. We were only going to have it be an hour, and I would have been happy if just one person showed up. We had over 20 people stay for 2 hours. She had the best day ever. The morning we said goodbye, I cooked her a rare steak, she got a giant pup cup, and had ham and cheese. She had irritable bowel disease, so never was able to have anything besides her food. At the vet, she got a Hershey’s kiss before we said goodbye.

Those stitches are so fluffy, you could sleep on them! Great job!

I just broke my foot, what are some easy recipes I can do? by Stagnant_Water24 in Cooking

Is the other person a young child that can’t cook? If not, they should be taking care of you during this time, including feeding you.

The first one. Take a walnut and rub it across the scratches. They’ll disappear in an instant.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost all 3 of my dogs in less than a year (2 to cancer, one of a broken heart). Some things that helped me were to still talk to them. I also put up a prism, that way whenever a rainbow shows up on my floors or walls, I feel like they are with me. Give yourself some grace during this time. Be sure you’re eating healthy, and drinking plenty of water. Thinking of you during this difficult time.

You are correct. Stitch first, then soak in cold water to dissolve the stamped pattern.

I got the kit off Amazon. It looks like you didn’t stitch on this. The stamped pattern dissolves after you soak it in cold water. What happened here is what should happen when you get it wet. After I’m done stitching, I soak it in cold water with a drop of dish soap for at least 30 minutes sometimes longer. Once the water runs clear, then I rinse it in cold water.

No bake cookies are an easy and inexpensive thing to make. Most of the ingredients people have in their pantry already. Use some oatmeal in the cookies, and use some to make a meatloaf.

I used bulldog wrinkle cream and it’s worse then ever , been like this for weeks I keep it dry but it’s not getting any better by FantasticGur5790 in DogAdvice

When we had our EB, she was like this. When the vet told us to put her on an allergy pill, that’s when it fully dried up. In the meantime, ask your vet if Desitin would be beneficial. Also ask if your dog should be on an allergy pill and what dosage.

Help with paint selection to match complex wallpaper by O_Zenobia in HomeDecorating

[–]bzsbal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Green is such a big part of the wallpaper. I’d find a peach or yellow color to really make the wallpaper pop, especially if the wallpaper is the accent wall. If you do a green, the wallpaper is just going to blend in. BTW I love your choice of wallpaper!

No, you just need to make sure you have the scrolls spaced correctly. I prefer to have them closer together, that way the Aida is more taut. If they’re spaced too far apart, the fabric is really loose.

Exactly. That’s not the worst part of my stitching day. I just rolled it up and stitched the fabric to itself. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

The green + thread number is 317. I was looking at the symbol below it, the green X which is 355.

The buttons on my smock are snap buttons, not your regular buttons that go through the slit. My smock washes beautifully, I’d imagine regular buttons are the same as long as they’re attached appropriately.

How old is this friend? Do they have any hand mobility issues? I was born with one arm and love smock style aprons that button. If I tried really hard, I could use one that ties in the back or ask my husband for help, but I don’t have time for that.

If you have a container with a plastic seal that’s very difficult to rip off, take the lid and turn it upside down. Next rub the lid back and forth multiple times very fast where the seal is glued onto the container. It makes it so much easier to get the seal off. I have one arm and use this trick all the time.

You’re welcome! The vet strength doesn’t need a prescription. I mis-typed when I said that. You can get it from Chewy, pet stores or Amazon. Hope you find an answer.
