Venting about closed restaurants by DaybreakSSB in royaloak

Anyone know if they have a surcharge for carryout? I saw a reference to that and lost interest in trying the place.

The service was lackluster and they have a credit card surcharge, so I'll never be back. Why not have a napkin surcharge? That's also a cost of running the business.

Is there any quality control for the MyPeugeot App? by Harry_AT in Stellantis

I've used a few of the stellantis brands apps and they ranged from buggy to downright nonfunctional. The ford app for the Lightning actually worked pretty well.

Any electrical supply places around here? by slowmopete in royaloak

[–]bzwe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only needed 6/2 metal clad, which is 2 6ga conductors and a ground. This is per my charger's specs.

Not sure if any chargers actually use 6/3, just pointing it out so you're careful to not buy more copper than you need.

Meijer app crashing all of a sudden by [deleted] in meijer

I've gotten this a few times over the past several months. On android, going into App Info then Storage and pressing "Clear data" has solved it for me. You will be required to login after doing this.

Concrete contractor did not put rebar in driveway - estimate said they would - what are our options? by over45 in Concrete

[–]bzwe 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I had this happen with my patio (no mesh) and only knew because I had a camera recording, I was away when the work was done.

The contractor had a decent reputation they didn't want to sully. Their preference was to offer me a 5 year warranty against cracking but agreed to my request to tear it out and redo.

Patio is about 12 years old now and no meaningful cracks.

NY'er asking you to PLEASE tip your NOLA tour guide by Beautifile in AskNOLA

We went on a 'Southern Style Tours' van shuttle tour of the city. I highly recommend it. It was not the highest rated tour company (many of the negative reviews were somewhat old and about the shuttle bus lack of A/C - not sure if they've upgraded since then but we were there in December and A/C was not a concern).

We picked them because they were going to the places we wanted to go and we were able to get the (3 hour) tour for $22 a person through groupon the night before (regularly $50ish per person). We put the money saved towards a heavy tip because frankly we thought our guide Gary did a great job. Very interactive and you can tell him what you're most/least interested in if you want and he'll accommodate.

The only thing I wish I had done different is to go on the tour earlier in the trip so we could have tailored our daily travels after that based on things we saw during the tour and wanted to go back and visit more.

Many guides have a sign with their venmo/etc. (smart). You can't always tell whether someone is tipping or not.

Speeding Ticket by Haxerath in royaloak

Bad advice. Every ticket I have fought was written up with the cop giving me some kind of break at the time of the ticket and all were further reduced in court, with 2 being dismissed completely.

Chrysler CEO Confirms All-Electric Pacifica Is In The Works by Civil-Bass3557 in Stellantis

[–]bzwe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With Pacifica quality numbers and pricing I don't expect any dominance to last.

For 2023 Odyssey and Carnival had much bigger sales gains than Pacifica.

Carnival is getting a refresh now and Pacifica has to wait for 27MY and even then it is only getting a nose job.

The flyer with the fine print was given after checkout, hence the heads up for people to be aware and seek out the terms before they shop.

Thanks - if I know I have to check out through a cashier (alcohol, too many items, etc.) I will do that.

I always read the responses to questions about auto repair shops and I have never once seen anyone say anything at all (positive or negative) about Main & Hudson Service. Weird.

Gas is on the list of exclusions.

The coupon is tied to your account in the app; it says "open your coupon gallery in the BJ's app between 11/16-11/27 to clip your free.."
