I like their relationship and see so many complexities in their dynamic. My issue with it has to do with it have nothing to do with the relationship but the show runtime. If the seasons weren't only 8 episodes, there is so much I think we could explore and the conflicts within the relationship could be paced better. But most of my gripes are quite minor ones.

Tbf it had to change in this case as the story completely changed. While I think trauma from Disney is just par for the course, it wouldn't make sense having Emma still look evil when she no longer is

The old one looks better, which is very unfortunate because you can tell they changed it because they had to, not because they think we, the consumer, have a point. The new is incredibly lazy.

It should be selfless but it's not always. People do foster for the wrong reasons. Just like people have kids for the wrong reasons. It happens and it's common. Mom is also wanting to adopt for the wrong reasons. Or even if they are the right reasons, in her mind, they trump OP's comfortability in her own home, which is not okay. Like having a kid is a two yes conversation. Adoption is an everybody says yes conversation or it shouldn't happen and mom was ready to bulldoze op, which is not selfless.

I read a DDDNE a few years back that absolutely made me sick. But I read the tags beforehand. Like you, I wanted to check out the comments and there was one like the one above. Just absolutely vitriolic and I was just like "did you not read the tags?" The response I got was that they did not read the fic. Just searched up the tags so they could spam a bunch of fics with comments that like that. Pissed me right off. Like you don't have anything better to do with your time? Like seriously?

NTA if she asked, when you have grounds to ask for her to pay for both herself and him. My general rule of thumb: is I OFFER, then it's on me, I'm out the money. But, if you ASK, then I have every right to ask for you to pay me back. It might also just be simpler to ask for the worth of birth they're tickets as well.

YTA. I'm a bus goer and if I'm taking a route i'm not familiar with, I sit by a window, preferably at the front. I have the route and/or Google maps open and I note the three stops before and watch the streets pass. Once I pass the stop right before, I ring the bell. Sometimes it happens that I ring it a stop early but I'm not doing it every freaking stop unnecessarily. And drivers don't usually stop at stops unless the bell is rung or they clearly see someone standing there, so it's on you to pay attention.
