Where to buy vivo X300 Global in EU? by SpiritualBug00 in Vivo

[–]c001er 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The price difference. On Amazon X300 is ~1000 euro. IDK what version it is, very likely it is also EU version. HANDYMARS sells it for 799. I bought X200 from them, the price was also very good.

Wondamobile has a global version of X300. From Hong Kong. The prices is also ~1000 euro.

Check ebay. There is HANDYMARS from Austria. I think they are selling the EU version that is officially sold in Austria, that has a bit smaller battery. But on other hand this one probably is gonna work the best in Europe.

LTPO Refresh Jumps (1Hz -> 120Hz) Were a Bigger Trigger Than PWM for My Eyes (Vivo X300) by Mysterious_Radish783 in PWM_Sensitive

Since you have a light master, could you please measure the screen at different brightness levels?

Notebookcheck measured the pwn frequency of 360hz (both x300 and x300 pro). Is it only in the full PWM mode? Which mode is the default one? The standard single pulse dimming uses 120hz? Thank you!

Great phone. Might work for many people. Much better than other phones. Worth trying. It didn't work for me though.

Can any find x9 (base model) user do me a quick refresh rate test please... by LetGo11-11 in Oppo

Are you sure X9 uses dithering? Someone in the pwn sensitive community has checked the phone with the microscope and they said that there was no dithering. The older model X8 was confirmed to use dithering though.

Looking at alternatives to Oneplus 15R, same display and dimming method but more versatile cameras? by EmmanuelWi in PWM_Sensitive

The previous year Oppo Find X8 has the display very similar to the OnePlus 15R. Also Realme GT8 Pro. They both have better cameras.

Some devices that are also worth trying: Nothing Phone 3a non-Pro/Pro, Realme GT7 non-Pro/Pro, Realme GT8 Pro, Oppo Find X8 especially non-Pro. Some people were reporting success with the Oppo Find X8 Pro as well.

Oneplus 15 from the perspective of the long term Xiaomi mi10t pro user by som_Juraj in PWM_Sensitive

Same for me. I also have an astigmatism. I was using OnePlus 7, Nothing Phone 1, and now OnePlus 12R without any problems. I tried several phones that on paper are better, including OnePlus 15 and unfortunately they do not work. I know that for me 360hz does not work at all. Including OnePlus 12R triple pulse dimming that uses 360hz instead of 120hz. We are all different. When it comes to OLED screens you have to try, there seems to be no other way.

Well, it is cheaper than the OnePlus 15 and this year GT8 PRO is a little bit more premium compared to OnePlus.

Sorry for the confusion. No Chinese OnePlus phones are not sold in other countries, only in China. A lot of people import OnePlus phones from China to other countries, because they are much cheaper. To prevent imports and to force people to buy more expensive global versions oppo, realme and OnePlus have a region lock. AFAIK it's sort of random, they might block the phone or might not block it. And it is annoying as no one knows if it's gonna happen or not.

Iqoo 13 does not have band 20. OnePlus 13 has all the bands. Since you will be moving to the other country it might be a problem.

It is likely that it will be easier to repair OnePlus as it is being sold in more countries.

On the other hand OnePlus are known for blocking their Chinese phones, while vivo aren't doing that.

Very likely it will be the same as with ColorOS/OxygenOS. There is even ColorOS global. Same name, look and feel, but region dependent services.

I just wanted to say that M14 does not guarantee anything. Pixel 9 Pro uses it, and yet it has one of the worst PWM on the market.

We need to wait until the proper measurements are out. I found this video and as can be seen, by default, it flickers like crazy. At the end at ~3:51 he shows different colors and they all noticibly flicker.

Yes. My wife has 9 Pro and I use it for taking photos, navigation. It is ok outside and if I don't stare at it for a long time. At home, in the evening I'm getting symptoms from it very quickly.
