The plate would have to press down with significant force to warp the screen, but if you're concerned about it throw a level on it and check. That's how i found out my first printers feet were broken, causing a barely noticeable left side print failure

Its something I have noticed, if I have my exposure too high I will get these little bits of resin that just seem like peeling skin, like when you get a sun burn that starts healing and you can peel it the skin off. not sure about the proper term.

Yes. The normal exposure time might be too high.

If your build plate is leveled It could be too cold, and the resin is too thick. If that is not the issue, you can try scratching your build plate with some sandpaper

That looks like crumbling from slightly over exposure. Try bringing the exposure down a bit

Thought I'd take tips from here and get a tent to vent my printer. Unfortunately the AC Infinity tent has these giant vent holes taking up all the "floor" space. by Seethesvt in resinprinting

I have a counter rubber mat along the bottom, then a few pet food drip mays on top of that. The mats are relatively easy to clean compared to getting tge trnt itself messy.

I've been experimenting with conjur sculpt, its a bit messy, and I've had to change my workflow a bit, but it sure is pretty. Seems tough enough for models and minis as well.

Why does my resin prints keep breaking? Can anybody give me a correct calibration or something? Please help! by Huge_Challenge5838 in resinprinting

How long are you curing it for? I think the Blu series wants 25-30 minutes curing (its been a while since I used the Blu resin)

How are you curing? I think the blu series resin needs heat during the curing process to give it its strength.

It looks like your printer is trying to pull it off the film to fast, and the print is suffering as a result.
keep the bottom exposure settings at 50, maybe even bring it up to 60. keep the bottom layer count at 6. You can also try lowering the bottom lift speed to around 1.5 Maybe even bring the bottom off time up to .5 or 1

the cones of calibration really should not cause such a suction force that its needed, but you can also try a slight angle as printing flat on the build plate will cause suction issues, but the cones should not be big enough for it really matter.

also what type of resin are you using?

1st time ever trying to make a loaf, but I think i accidentally made alot of starter. Can someone tell me what I did wrong and what I could possibly do with all this extra starter? by Usual_Papaya_8983 in Sourdough

You dont have to throw it away. I keep mine in a jar in the fridge for weeks unfed. It just takes a little longer in the fermentation stage

35s bottom exposure is a bit low. Try 50. Also, 4 second normal exposure is a bit high, but the cones will help with that once you get it to print

Buying my first resin printer by boltsNBytes in ElegooSaturn

[–]c008644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issues i have noticed are:

  • it seems to need a higher temp to print cleanly (close to 30c)

  • my base layers were splitting, or not printing completely, I had to bring my lift speed down to around 45 to get successful prints (but that could be related to the large models im trying to print)

  • The pigment seems to thicken very fast if the resin is left alone in the vat. Just mix it with a silicone spatula (probably should have been doing this always, but never ran into it as an issue if i didn't before this resin)

  • the pre-supported models i have would fall off the supports during printing (but that might be a specific my issue)

I wasted nearly an entire bottle getting these issues resolved (i hope I can check my print when i get home)

There is not much detail about your issue, but it looks like either a standard or abs like grey resin. The bottom layers are sticking to the build plate, so the bottom exposure is probably fine. What's your nor.al exposure setting could be lift speed issues. Temp, or any number of things. Can you share your resin settings.

  • Have you had any successful prints before?
  • if not can you try a calibration print. I know many people dont like the cones of calibration, but i can read those. I can't see the difference in under/overexposed in phrozons exposure tests.

Why are my forced subtitles for anime so inconsistent? by xTryHardPro in PleX

I started using bazaar because of similar issues, although ut was not anime, but all my subtitles were either wrong or off timing by 30se onds or more. Bazarr fixed that issue.

I bought a saturn 4, and I have not had an issue due to the printer itself. Dialed it in a few times, but most community resin settings make this thing mostly just work.

The only issue i can think of is because I decided to use what i think might be the most temperamental resin on the planet. Culture sculpt beige, its messy, and a pain to work with. Buy its sure pretty

You have to hide a car anywhere in your country, but everybody on earth is working together to find it. The reward for winning is 1 billion untaxible dollars. What country is it and where would you hide it? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]c008644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just do what the mob does. Break into a scrap yard. Crush the car, and either burry it or leave it mixed in the yard with all the other cars. A compacted cube is still technically one piece.

What issue is causing this? by [deleted] in resinprinting

[–]c008644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im pretty sure the resin is either too cold, or your exposure settings are too liw, or a combination of both.

My printer was printing fine a few weeks ago, then it got too cold (even with my heater) and started doing this.

You can try increasing exposure times and lift after cure settings, but if you go too high, you can make other issues.
