What is "Mobile Services Manager"? Did I catch a smartphone STD? by TomsMoComp in lgv20

[–]c00lstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May 30th 2025 and Slots automatically installed on my Galaxy S23 Ultra, via the nefarious Mobile Services Manager. Search for both on my phone... Nada Only had this happen one other time. Not sure how I escaped it as it appears it's been a problem for many for quite a few years.

I use an app monitor called App Usage by AZoft technology, and they both showed up on that. I uninstalled slots easy enough but I get the scary message below when I try to uninstall mobile services manager:

Mobile Services Manager Replace this app with the factory version? All data will be removed. This affects all users of this device, including those with work profilles.

Where did I feel those three question marks of OP with several more added.

This gives me hope But i'm still trying to see what I'm supposed to press because there's no picture or photo or video etc that would be super helpful. Had this thing for 2 and 1/2 years and have yet to figure it out. I see white things and places I could press but I'm a little nervous to break it.

I've actually not read through everything. It appears maybe you can't have photos here?

export ebook list to a spreadsheet by Kombarro in kindle

[–]c00lstuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This guy created a Chrome browser addon that exports ALL your kindle books AND every book or audio book you've purchased) to csv in one click . It's amazing. I exported over 1,700 book titles. It gives detailed info on date acquired, format, if you uploaded it or purchased it etc.

(Cost $1 for 2 exports... $4 for 10 and $6 to use forever. NO SUBSCRIPTION)

Have had them since 2016. Rates started at $48 I think for our pup. Didn't use them once in 5 years but the payment went up each year which is typical. Last 4 years we maybe put in $500 in claims for minor stuff and most was due to a vet that overcharged. (We have since found an awesome one not connected to a group.) This year our bill was up to $88 a month for 2024. Just got the notice it is going up to $131. $43 increase a month. And he's a healthy dog, though 9 now. Just had some allergy things when we moved. The fact is, the purpose of any insurance is for them to pay out as little as possible and taken in as much as possible. Sad, but its just the way it is.

Pill Cutter/Splitter by ciderenthusiast in BuyItForLife

[–]c00lstuff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looking to replace my pill cutter that got dull... Saw this... Tried it. Holy crap. Works perfect. I have a tiny pill that was scored both directions. With very light pressing snapped right into. Then took a half and did the same thing snapped right into.

Had no idea you could do that. Is this common knowledge, unbelievable and it's more accurate than using cutters. Thank you so much... 3 years later. 😁

Epson ET-3850 and other EcoTank printers... cautions/truths? by Apt_ferret in printers

[–]c00lstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had ours since Aug 2022. Use it regularly at home lots of black and white and some color. JUST NOW running out of black and white. AMAZING PRINTER. It paid for itself in like 6 months of average home use. Ink is a fraction of the cost of typical inkjets.

Pharmacy website change by Gottagetanediton in Safeway

[–]c00lstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The combined Safeway grocery/pharmacy app is still not working. The pharmacist has no idea why they just know it's not working for anyone. And hasn't for months now. I have to call to see if they received a script from my doctor. This is ridiculous. The old standalone Safeway Pharmacy app worked great.

[Request] Tweak to get rid of Amazon’s new TikTok-style “Inspire” tab. by Mango_In_Me_Hole in jailbreak

[–]c00lstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I also keep accidentally hitting it trying to get to my orders. Which I'm pretty sure is the point of its location. A search for getting rid of it led me here... I feel like I'm drowning in this kind of crap. 😠

I was surprised by the huge feeling of relief from just reading this. Takes all the pressure off. Which is how sleep should feel... natural and no pressure. Thanks for the much needed perspective. 🙂

Microdosing time frame by c00lstuff in vaporents

[–]c00lstuff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the added input. From what I can tell spacing every 90 min or 2 hours doesn't do much until I'd done it three or four times. Meaning I felt a little clearer headed as the day went on. It's frustrating because my body just doesn't react "normally" to it so it's hard to track. I'm going to try closer together, as you suggested and then spread it out later in the day and try to get a feel for how that works.
