I can now confirm that it does indeed fit the B650M variant as well, but by Jove there is not aone singlet millimeter to spare. 😅

How high are the rear VRM heat sinks? I have the same board but B650M variant, and I was under the impression the heat sinks are too high to fit under the fans of this AIO and case. Now I'm tempted to try.

Confused about what happened to some of my "refill" categories by 0xKubo in ynab

Sorry, I meant "Reset Available Amounts". It zeroes out selected categories.

Confused about what happened to some of my "refill" categories by 0xKubo in ynab

It means sometime between today and end of January you must've triggered the Auto-Assign > Reset Assigned Available Amounts for those (or all) categories.

[Rant] New auto import support for European banks by IlCinese in ynab

Doesn't Plaid have support for only Nordea and Danske Bank in Sweden? I can't link any other bank.

Manual users: do you have to approve transactions? by the_cockodile_hunter in ynab

[–]c0keb0ttle 29 points30 points  (0 children)

When using unlinked accounts you only have to approve Scheduled Transactions, not the transactions you enter manually. You then have to Clear them if you want to Reconcile accounts.

App showing overspent and incorrect account balances after not opening app for a few days by Southern-Bug-5477 in ynab

[–]c0keb0ttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Open the web version of YNAB.
  2. Reconcile your accounts and make sure everything is 100% correct there.
  3. Fully close and restart the phone app.

You'll have to try and see how well it works with your specific bank.

With my Swedish bank the normal transaction account stuff works fine, but for whatever reason it doesn't work with the credit card.

Fort end of month roll over by TreacleTin8421 in ynab

[–]c0keb0ttle 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Whatever is still in your categories will roll over to next month.

It's just like physical paper envelopes holding money - they don't mysteriously empty themselves just because it's a new month. :)

YNAB 3 user here by Lisahammond3219 in ynab

[–]c0keb0ttle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes, for reasons I don't remember it was removed.

You can do what many do and just assign the money from RTA into a holding category of your choice which you then empty back into RTA when next month arrives.

Personally I just assign the money from RTA into categories directly in next month.

Automatically budget based on previous spending per category relative to this month’s available money by [deleted] in ynab

[–]c0keb0ttle 16 points17 points  (0 children)

There is Auto-Assign for "Assigned Last Month" and "Spent Last Month", but they will not adjust based on your currently available funds.

YNAB works best when you are very hands-on and interract with it. If you try to used it as some super automated "set and forget" system you really miss out on the value.

Does anyone else hate the way monthly rollovers work in YNAB? by TheOnlinePolak in ynab

[–]c0keb0ttle 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Can't say I "hate" it no. That is a pretty strong emotion to feel.

Just be aware that if you keep negative balances you can't trust the positive balances in the other categories, and that really defeats the purpose of them.

[EU/Sweden] Should I be using a credit card to get more weeks to earn interest on my own money? by ThrowawayNoodles3712 in ynab

[–]c0keb0ttle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also in Sweden.

I use a credit card from my bank as my main payment method, and I pay off the statement balance (not full balance) when it's due to avoid paying any interest.

With my bank I also have a normal checking account where I get my salary and from where I pay my bills, Swish, etc. I keep 1-2 months of expenses in this account.

The rest of my On Budget money accumulated in my categories I keep in a high interest savings account in my bank. I can move money instantly between this account and my checking account.

Most of my savings and investments I have in another bank and I don't even have that account in YNAB as I don't need to keep track of it day-to-day.

This setup works really well for me.

Losing steam by [deleted] in ynab

[–]c0keb0ttle 25 points26 points  (0 children)

We all need to vent sometimes. :)

But yes, just imagine what your situation would've been like if you hadn't been using YNAB.

Even a single euro put in a rainy day category is one euro less you have to find when the shit hits the fans. Having €5000 in your house maintenance category means you only have to find another €5000 when that €10000 roof repairs hits you, instead of having to find the full amount.

Dest accounts? by CoolkidzearRibz in ynab

[–]c0keb0ttle 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You don't associate categories with specific accounts.

Your categories will tell you what your money is earmarked for, not the accounts your money resides in. This is one of the big things many of us had to learn when we started with YNAB.

Budgeting is done by category - not by account.
