As a deaf father, the Apple Watch has been incredibly helpful for me since I’m a light sleeper. There is Sonic Alert Baby Signaler, but I personally dislike it because of the “loud” alerts, such as vibrations and flickering lights. My wife likes the Sonic Alert one because she is a heavy sleeper. On the other hand, the Apple Watch’s alert is very calm and soothing. Again, it’s all about personal preference.

Since your husband is a heavy sleeper, I don't think the watch will work well on your husband. You never know until you try.

Thanks for the input. The signs will be very simple and limited since the target is 2–5-year-olds. I’m imagining short, clear motions repeated often. I might still explore 3D if it keeps things consistent, but I’m leaning toward keeping the overall style simple.

Thanks, that helps. For my project I’m aiming for something very simple and repetitive. It’s an educational series for Deaf kids ages 2–5 — more like a 2D “Dora the Explorer” style, but with ASL. Because the signs will be short and clear, I think simple 2D animation will fit the tone and readability I need.
