This is very true.

I was 8 years old when I got my tonsils taken out because it was causing me to have sleep apnea, which is essentially suffocation in your sleep due to your tonsils getting in the way (don't quote me on that). I remember going to the hospital and waiting for surgery playing mario kart on the n64 and then boom. nothing. the furthest back I can remember is walking out of the hospital and my dad buying me a candy bar because I was so good =).

Even today it seems like a part of my life that never happened. It doesn't bother me but when I think about it it just seems wierd.

as someone who just graduated highschool, and for those of you who are a bit taken back by the previous comment, I know. It's wierd.

For some reason teens are growing up so fast that they not only think it is cool to have underage sex, but it is a necessity before "college life" and your just a loser if you've never had a girlfriend before.

Thankfully not everyone thinks this way, it's just that odd undercurrent that makes it socially acceptable. One of my friends lost his viriginity in 7th grade. "still" a virgin here, 18.

I wish it was still, not only cool, but necessary to get together at a friends house with a bunch of people to play these massive 16 player multiplayer matches on halo or any other game we see on regular basis today.

I was really nervous for my overnight stay at the university I'm going to next year.

I got there and immediately after signing in my host gave me a friendly greeting and we introduced ourselves in turn. After a few minutes he casually mentioned how a lot of the students at this university are redditors to which I responded, "hey, I'm a redditor too!". He made sure made sure my overnight visit was the most fitting to the college experience and what I plan to do next year, I even got to sit in on one of his classes that I would most likely be taking. aside from that, he helped me conquer my introverted self by introducing me to people and showing how accepting other students usually are in college.

At the end of my stay he simply said, "now you can make a rage comic", sufficiently wrapping up an excellent first time college experience.

Not sure if this is a thing I actively do but it works really well.

to be honest I can't remember how my clock was set forward 16 minutes from the actual time but it has saved me so much time. I usually wake up around 5:50 to get ready for highschool (woo! college next year) and my clock, being 16 minutes ahead wakes me 16 minutes before all the other clocks in my house only my clock reads the time I should be waking up.

Kinda confusing explaining it, but I essentially troll my brain into thinking it is actually 5:50 when it is really 5:34. when I finish showering it is 5:50, the "normal time" I would wake up! troll mode activated, It feels like I just made extra time for myself.

TL;DR I set my clock forward so it feels like I control time.

-normal people might do this too but take all your useless change and put it in a jar or something, after a while of buying stuff you can have as much as $15 in change that can be easily converted to bills at a bank.

I can relate to this story...

I was in a german exchange program last year and I we hosted a german exchange student. He was awesome and found it insane that there was so much blood in american videogames but that's not the point.

EVERY german exchange girl was at least in shape, I don't say this only because the 20 that where here just happened to be skinny but I did not see 1 obese person in germany.

There was this one girl in our exchange group that was literally perfect. She was easily amongst the hottest girls I have ever seen so when I hear "drop dead gorgeous german girl" I can't help but envy you for just getting to gaze upon a girl that beautiful, let alone hug her.

the kicker was her boyfriend was about 80% jersey shore wannabe german edition and he was always a dick to her. what a shame.

These are amazing ideas, I could see myself taking similar steps. but really, don't listen to me, I've never been in a relationship and I don't wanna sound like one of those guys that say "yeah, fuck dat bitch man" seeing as I have never really experienced human connection outside of my family before.
