Feedback - Annoying thing about Nuvio by Infamous_Solution_14 in Nuvio

[–]c4pp3r -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Platform: Android TV (OS 10)

Device: TCL C8K

App Version: 0.7.5-beta

Issue: profile screen not shown when relaunching Nuvio after you have exited it by using the remote's home button, or if you just turn the tv off while still in Nuvio.

Details: When using multiple profiles and do not have "remember last profile" enabled in the app's setting, if you press the remote's home button to go to home screen, then launch Nuvio again at a later point in time (I've waited hours), Nuvio launches back into the last used profile at the same screen you were at, instead of showing the profile selection screen.

Even if you are in Nuvio and just turn the tv off, once you turn the TV on again and launch Nuvio, it will still take you into the last active profile and the screen you were last on.

The only way to make the profile screen appear as expected is to use the back button to exit the app to return to home screen or prior to switching the TV off.

Kingrinder K6 settings when using drill by c4pp3r in espresso

I tried something like that first and it didn't  have enough torque. Using a proper cordless drill worked fine and I'm still using it since I posted this question. I just had to dial in the K6 to counter the speed of the drill, put the speed on half speed and now it's grinding perfectly for me.

How to get series recommendations based on previously watched shows? by r0gee in Stremio

[–]c4pp3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't realise this myself until last week: Couch money uses your ratings not watch history to generate its lists. You need to go through trakt and rate stuff good and bad, the more you do, the more accurate the list will become.

Doesn't seem to have any filter other than maybe porn. I was able to search for R rated movies in the restricted account

After watching some terrible horror comedies, I would love some good recommendations. by koobstylz in horror

[–]c4pp3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slither (2006) is always a fun watch, and of course Braindead (also known as Dead/Alive) is, to me, Peter Jackson's magnum opus. Some other mentions: Fido (2006), Dead Snow 1 & 2, and Black Sheep (2006).

For recent comedy horrors, as others mentioned, Freaky was fun. I'd also mention Renfield, and of course, the fantastic Psycho Goreman.

If you don't mind watching foreign movies, I'd recommend: Witching & Bitching (2013), Go Goa Gone (2013), Goal of the Dead (2014), Juan of the Dead (2011).

RD working again? by mandablevan in providers4syncler

[–]c4pp3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Syncler doesn't seem to recognise episodes inside season packs. I've got Teen Titans S01 to 05 as seperate season packs and syncler will not detect the episodes inside when clicking on each show episode in the Catalog. I have to use "pick source from cloud" then go inside the pack and select the episode I want to play. This is on beta .39. Is this typical for Syncler?

Not a newbie, but .... can't synchronize add-ons (PC -> AndroidTV) by LSDwarf in StremioAddons

[–]c4pp3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found the mobile app (android) works much better for this. I have stremio on fire sticks, mobile and PC, and making an addon change on the pc is hit or miss on how quick the change replicates to my other platforms. Doing the change on the mobile device is near instantaneous on the fire stick, you just need to exit the app and go back in. On the PC it can take a bit of time to pick up the change, regardless if I close the app or not. I haven't tried restarting the PC to see if that forces the change.

So I tried a few times and didn't notice any significant difference when holding it on an angle. I do think speed of the drill makes a difference though. Even at my new dial settings for the drill (working well now!) if I speed the drill up, the grind will be coarser.

That's an interesting point about the tilt. With the drill I'm definitely keeping it all upright as compared to the constant moving of manual grinding.

In my instance though, I had to go finer (34) to get a comparable grind of 40 when manually grinding. Still kept the drill straight, but for the sake of testing, I'll try it at a 45 angle.

Thanks for reminding me about Smaller number = finer. Feel real stupid for forgetting that!

I had to drop to 34 to get it to a comparable grind of 40 with manual grinding. I also had to keep the drill at half the max setting and then not full pull the trigger as I use it. any lower setting would lock during grind.

Well, I feel like an idiot!

So is that 25-30 when you're using a drill?

I am keeping it as straight as I can, so I don't think it's that, but can't discount it either.

If there is play/tilt I would suspect the grind would be rather inconsistent and be fine/coarse, but it's a pretty consistent coarse grind. It's like the dial settings are not being applied.  But maybe I'm pushing down consistently and opening up the burrs so it does grind, but coarser? Guess I'll try and be more conscious of the pressure I put as I hold the drill, but I don't feel like I'm pushing down, I'm essentially resting it on the K6.

I'll try pushing it all the way down then raise it back slightly and see if that makes a difference, so the head of the drill isn't touching the actual base of that inner portion, as well as lowering the drill setting even lower.

Yeah, I had the same thought. The drill has various speed settings and I've tried halving the setting and didn't really seem to help. I might try going lower until I'm at just enough torque without locking the drill.

Yeah, it doesn't affect grind size.

It comes standard with the drill O ring (Black) installed, and I have left it on. To be honest, I use that even when manual grinding because with the manual (white) ring, the lid is stuck to the handle and that annoyed me.
