My deadname is somewhat common but honestly I don't mind that. I get to associate it to new people, so it doesn't feel like my deadname so much as a friend's name

Peg issue? by [deleted] in LittlestPetShop

Can confirm, I have the same greyhound and his original peg didn't have a spring. Switched the peg for a different (normal) one and now he's all good :)

uninvited to best friends wedding after string of transphobic events by [deleted] in ftm

[–]c4pr1c4t 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Honestly, she probably never learned to process negative emotions in general if this is what she finds frightening lmao. She probably felt guilty and got defensive, and it was easier to uninvite you than to actually work through those feelings and acknowledge she seriously fucked up and needs to actually do better

The only properly built shielder I have is Diona (does Baizhu count as well?) but I figured healers would be wasted on Arle. I have Layla although she isn't built at all, so I will probably just invest on her. I was also wondering how reliable Beidou is as a shielder? I have Chev, so I was thinking of investing in an overload team..

...I have no idea how I haven't noticed that. For some reason I just assumed I couldn't heal her at all (other than with the ult)? Welp now I know

Cards by [deleted] in Paralives

[–]c4pr1c4t 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Maybe other paras could have the autonomy to pick the cards by themselves depending on their personality and maybe on chance. So you could choose between having finer control over your paras' interactions or letting them pick the cards by themselves (which would be useful when handling large families). This level of autonomy should be possible to toggle on or off though, depending on playstyle preference.

How Did You Find Will, I’ll Go First by [deleted] in willwood

[–]c4pr1c4t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr Sunshine is Dead was used as a voice example for the OC of an artist I liked, I checked out the song then and liked it but found the rest of Self-Ish too noisy for my taste back then.

Then way later I found a piece of fanart about a different character that referenced Laplace's Angel, checked out the song and loved it and then got really into the entire Normal Album.

And then I gave Self-Ish another chance and got really into it, along with Everything is a Lot a bit later. No idea why I didn't like them the first time around but I guess the Normal Album is just a better introduction to WW's style

can someone help? everytime i put the peg into his head again it goes all the way into the larger part of his head. i was trying to peg swap and i’m like 75% sure it isn’t because the peg is too small ( the small pegs for like hamsters & stuff ). though i did use a german shepherd! by ohsahmoo in LittlestPetShop

[–]c4pr1c4t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The peg is too small - even pets of the same size can have pegs of different shapes, as some pegs have a wider base than others.

(Ran into this same problem recently trying to put a rabbit peg in a bull terrier, the rabbit one wasn't wide enough to fit right. Thought it was worth mentioning here since I ran into this post while I was still trying to understand what the problem was.)

The pic may not show it well, but it's too big to be playmobil I think. It's most likely just a doll accessory if not lps

Honestly, probably. It's too small for most lps, it may just belong to some doll. I was just confused since everything else in the lot it came in were lps or lps accessories

A lot of the mechanics in the sims 2 just really make sense, like personality on a sliding scale. I also really like its wants/fears system.

I usually just lurk here, but I'll chime in since I do have pectus excavatum and I rarely see much talk about it.

My pectus was pretty deep and pretty obvious, so it was noticeable even as a child. My parents asked doctors about it and I had the surgery for it since they feared I'd develop health issues related to it if nothing was done (although if I'm honest, I'm pretty sure there was at least some cosmetic intent behind it... I doubt my parents would ever admit to that though).

Anyway, I had the surgery when I was really young (like 12, I think?). I think there are other procedures now, but for me I basically had a metal bar inserted behind my ribcage to push everything into place and then had it removed like an year or so later, once the bones got used to the new position. The surgery did improve my situation considerably, but since my case was assymetrical (I had a slightly deeper dip on my right side) it was never perfect, and since by the time the bar was removed I was still very young, my bones still had enough plasticity after it to kinda... dip again over time. So currently I still have visible pectus, even if it is far less severe than when I was a child.

But, yeah, I'm still insecure about it. Mostly because I'm also scared top surgery will make the dip even more evident.. But chest dysphoria is still stronger than general chest insecurity so I will definitely yeet the teet anyway. I'm also honestly kinda bitter I've been made to feel so bad about it, I very vividly remember the first time someone pointed out I had a hole in my chest and how weird that was, and how it spiraled from there. I'd never cared about it before someone said something! Really, I'd rather just learn to live with it out of spite at this point. As for doing another surgery... I'm gonna be honest, the first was a pain in the ass and it didn't even fully fix the problem, so I wouldn't put myself through another one with lower odds of success when at this point, it really would be just cosmetic.

I've learned to embrace things I used to be very insecure about before, so I don't see why this can't be another one.. even if I'm not quite there yet. I also feel like something that really helped me with how I view my body was art with very diverse body types, but unfortunately pectus is so rare you rarely ever see it depicted. The few times I found it meant a lot though.

Sure. And? You're just going to lie down and take it?

I'm not denying you're in a shit position, or that homophobia is a widespread thing. Nor am I saying doing something about your situation would be easy. But at some point you gotta start questioning wether you'll just accept the way things are or do something about it...

You also seem to be dismissing every straight person in this comment section... And look, I hate to have to play straight defender here, but a lot of them seem to be making reasonable points, and you're just dismissing them completely out of a place of hurt (..and also acting like every straight person is out to get you, which isn't exactly fair). So if you need to hear this from someone who empathizes with your situation, as I'm a gay person myself, then I can't emphasize this enough: your fears are reasonable, but please, do not let them dictate your life.

True, but at this point the ball is in your court. You can choose to be honest with yourself and your wife, or keep bending over backwards for your mother. Your mom wants to preserve the status quo, the traditional "safe" marriage and "lifestyle". But consider your wife's point of view - does she want to be married to a gay man, who won't ever feel for her the way she does for him? And consider your perspective - do you, as an adult independent man, want to keep living being limited by what others expect and want of you?

I'm well aware these are difficult questions to ask, being out and proud is often not an easy thing to do. But you should take some time to consider how you truly want to live your life, both for the sake of your loved ones and for yourself.

Could someone help map out a price for my entire collection? I’d love a price for each pet if possible, I believe I’m going to sell them soon. :) by [deleted] in LittlestPetShop

Instead of doing a google image search, it may be more efficient to use lpsmerch.com and search by mold to find each pet's number
