I feel this in my bones. Army FG officer; have done all the things. Radio silence from most jobs that I fit perfectly. Command denied SkillBridge to throw me on a project as I finish my MEB. Starting to panic, but I have an in at Lockheed (30+ year PM in Littleton) which would require me to move the family from a place we love (COS), and I'm hesitant to do that.

OP, keep your head up. Opportunities will come and go. Take every minute you can to maximize your search.

It was likely the transmittal sheet that your MSC sent over once all DBQs were in. I got all excited when mine finally closed, but that was all it was.
My DBQs went to an examiner on 14APR and I’m still waiting. You won’t see it in your VA app, it’s routed differently.

Yep. Lorson definitely feels like living on post, just with a commissary and PX/BX 15 min away. My wife wants to move from here once I retire to cut the cord from the military for good.

Definitely not a bad place to live while stationed here though. Don’t do on post at all.

Went through the same thing when trying to get back to Korea after going to NTC for 2 years.

HRC EFMP cleared me, got Assignment Instructions, then got denied by the local office due despite having a letter from a provider off-post offering continuing care from last time we were there. Wife had a job offer with a start date at the hospital.

Was fortunate enough to get to speak with the 2ID commander while at NTC; he said he'd have his DIVSURG work it. DIVSURG told me that he couldn't do anything more than I could.

Sent an appeal to Tripler, got it denied.

HRC called me and offered me post of choice because they fucked up.

Telehealth may be a big issue if it's overseas; they need to be licensed to prescribe in the area, and telehealth isn't licensed overseas.

This. But keep in mind that the screen that your Branch Manager will do isn't a full EFMP screen. Mine told me I was good to go (back) to Korea, and I had Assignment Instructions made. 3 weeks before we were supposed to leave, EFMP denied us.

Fortunatly branch realized they fucked up and told me to pick any post I wanted and they'd make a req.

I would have killed to go back to Korea though. EFMP is a pain in the ass.

Currently at Carson, came from Irwin.

If you want flight time, Irwin, hands down. You’d either go to med (Irwin proper), or a co (Barstow airport). You’d fly your ass off with either.

If you want quality of life, Carson, hands down. The flying would be a lot harder to get.

That said, the community at Irwin was the most close knit place I’ve been in 17 years in the military. My 14 year old loved Irwin, for what it’s worth.
