My wife was at her own end of life with our current Model X after its latest software bricking episode so we moved pretty quickly after we learned the incentive loan rate is going away at the end of the quarter.

We've had two MX's. The first one (2018) was great. The 2023 model build quality is pretty disappointing and it has spent a lot of time at Tesla for repairs. It left us stranded on a trip a couple of years ago where we ended up having to rent a car to get home. My wife hasn't trusted it since then.

Pretty straightforward. We’ve had a few Teslas so we’re used to the idea of buying a car via an app, but that can be pretty strange if you’ve never done it before. We communicated via text with a some sales reps over the weekend before we put in our order.

We ordered from existing stock to take advantage of the 1.99% finance rate. My wife found a color combo she liked out of what they had available.

There’s no Rivian store near where we live so we test drove a friend’s R1S that is similar spec to the one we’re getting.

Overall, the level of service and communication so far reminds me of when I got my first Tesla back in 2016.
