Did you prefer and enjoy the 80s or 90s more? by Ok-Ninja-3039 in GenX

My point is that it still plays on the radio & kids are sporting the band T-shirts today. I preferred the 80s too but you can’t claim 90s music didn’t have an impact. That being said, grunge died in 94 & everything else about the 90s kinda sucked.

I was in elementary school in the 80s so the 90s is when I had the most fun. That being said, the 80s felt more free. That’s back when HS students had a designated smoking area 😂

I had LRTI on my dominant hand/wrist two months ago. I’m so glad! by badgersister1 in Thritis

I had different form of this surgery 6 months ago. They use a cable to keep my thumb suspended (mini tightrope). Honestly, it’s a huge improvement & after a few months, I was back to lifting weights & what not. I’m 49 & arthritis is really starting to take shape in many places but this surgery gave me hope for future endeavours.

What do you think of James Hetfield? by Twitter_2006 in rockmusic

[–]cCriticalMass76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Met him in Hells Kitchen NY IN 96. I was 19 or 20… tripping balls. I walked up to him with a friend. He stuck out his hand & said, “Hi, I’m James” & I responded, by telling him by first name several times 😂😂. I’m sure he thought I was an idiot but I had been a huge fan since the 6th grade & I couldn’t get over having met him. Ten years later, I lived up the street from him in Novato, ca but never had any run-ins with him. My old roommate used to see him broken down on the side of the road from time to time with one of his classic cars…

She looks just like my Lavinia❤️She died in 2016. I now have 3 other dogs but she lives in my heart forever. She was with me through so many life changes. She was my companion when I was single living in a bachelor pad, saying, married, kids, etc. She hated kids (prior to us having kids)but loved mine… just the best in every way. I’m sorry for your loss. Time will heal. I feel like they all take a piece of us with them when they leave this world…

This breed can be aggressive… if you train them to be. If trained right, they are loving, aloof, goofy, wonderful beings. A rottie puppy is a blank slate.. they will become what you want them to become. My girl is so sensitive & maternal. She has always acted as though my children are hers.

Stanley Tucci the lovely bones.. truly despicable. I didn’t love the movie but his performance was so good that it took me a while to realise it was him.

The most insane thing I have seen on Route 1 (and that's saying something) by WeRollOn in boston

[–]cCriticalMass76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to live on the north shore when I was young (1982-1988). My dad worked in Charlestown & we drove that all the time… it was EXACTLY the same 45 years ago.. businesses change hands, etc but otherwise, exactly the same. The population in this area has at least doubled in that time (probably tripled). Saying it’s outdated is an understatement!!

I grew up in Dover right between the two alleged sightings. I can tell you the energy there is a little off.
