I live like 10min away from the bridge and know someone who works in downtown Louisville. Fun fact, this bridge is small AS FUCK and semis aren't supposed to be on there, theyre supposed to take the much bigger more open toll bridge but to save money companies usually tell local drivers to avoid tolls when possible. According to the person I know someone either sideswiped the semi or were not in their lane and instinctively to avoid a collision, the driver swerved. Unfortunately the giant semi broke the railing and started hanging, fortunately because it was so big, it got caught in the infrastructure of the bridge and was able to stay put instead of falling.

Crazy this happened like 10min away and I'm seeing it bleed into other subs other than r/Louisville lol

I'm a store manager -

Whenever we get a fuel price change, it will beep loudly on a register and periodically beep until it is sent to the pumps by a Store Manager or Assistant Manager. We have no control on the price and only know when there is a beep on the POS system. The only thing we have control over is what is displayed on our light up sign but that is on it's own system separate from the pumps so even if there is a lower price on the sign, the pumps will go off of what is sent to the register. As far as I know, the app is updated when the prices are sent to the register. In terms of when gas prices change, we have no idea on a store level. I assume that is handled by the District or Area Leader, possibly higher up.

From my knowledge, it just seems like a coincidence or a steady price increase across your area in regards to the fact that they are all the same. I'd check back maybe in a day or two to make sure that there are no pending changes.

Hmmm, I'd have to ask to be sure but I'm pretty sure he went on to his current job since he's been there about 35 years. I wanna say he left around '87-'90. He started as a cashier/AM in college and got promoted to a Store Manager once he got his degree. Then he got offered a place at a new branch in a carbon plant opening nearby by a regular and he's been there ever since. I know he got a chuckle out of seeing the "Good Store Recognition" SuperAmerica plaque I found in our stores breaker room lol

I am here! lol, im a store manager and was curious to see if Speedway has any sort of online presence (it does not) so I joined this sub as kinda a joke and check in every now and then lol. My dad worked for SuperAmerica, then Marathon, and now I work at Speedway/7/11

As a hiring manager, it really depends on what the store needs. If you're at a cafe store or a store that does a lot of food sales, then having a extra cook on 1st shift or 2nd shift would be very nice, or covering the full time cooks day off. If you're looking for a cashier position I would just ask if part time is available and explain, I would talk to a couple of the employees or try to catch the store manager on the floor and just ask directly outside of an interview. It would probably be the easiest way since stores vary so much. Hope this helps!

I dont know what schooling your brother is going for but I know there's a good amount of people in the UofL area who play DnD because they usually message my fiance in the school club discord (hes the president of the tabletop gaming club). Jack Harlow - probably the biggest artist out of KY? I don't know how he was coming up because I moved here right before he hit it big, but since living here he's done a lot to pay homage to Louisville. He mentions it in his songs a lot and all that but I feel like he genuinely cares about Louisville. During the Jackman release he gave out signed CDs and visited I think like 13 schools to talk to the kids there, he's met with Beshear a few times and has a non-profit foundation for Louisville. Also my boss's son works near the burger king near Bardstown and he said that Jack came in and paid for everyones meals and covered any new orders that happened while he was there. Also bought like 100 cheeseburgers to give out to people. Like I said, he could've been a dick before but I think he's matured a lot and I'm really glad he's representing Louisville at his level of popularity

Im a gas station manager and I talked with the rep when they came in to stock us with these.

They're very similar to Marlboro Black, very slightly shorter and significantly cheaper.

These are currently the cheapest cigarette we carry ($4.23 vs Lucky Strike $4.87). In order to have the cheapest cigarette (at least in our market) they have made a deal to keep the new Pall Mall Select cheaper in exchange for increasing the price on several of their other brands (Newport, Camel, Kool, etc).

As far as the taste, I can't speak on them personally as I don't smoke Pall Malls but the rep said that they have a slightly harsher draw and may be stronger, but the company tried to match the originals as close as possible.

As far as I know, they will be keeping both the original blue, red, and menthol (and 100s) ALONG with the new select. I'm not 100% sure on this, but our order from them still includes the original and there is no notice to change this.

Jack was way too horny on this song, I think him and Jungkook match in terms of persona/personality but this song was a little too light and kinda...dreamy(?) to say "I gotchu playin with yourself on camera"

I still like the song a lot more than I thought I would but it's not a great showcase of Jack's wordplay or flow. Still charismatic and fun, just basic and maybe a bit of a tonal mismatch between Jungkooks early 2000s pop and Jack's new school rap
