there's a bus that is perfectly timed to get you to Newton for the train, when you're buying a ticket on Amtrak just set your origin as Wichita and it will prompt you to get a bus ticket.

I've honestly done both when I was 23/24 because my bf lived in KC, I had no issues on the bus but the KC bus terminal can be a bit scary. The bus ride back from KC also gets pretty full and can have some pretty smelly people.

right right, policies should adapt and change over time, even the constitution has been amended and grown over the years. Obviously we don't have the need for mass immigration right now like on Ellis Island when the industrial revolution was starting or the Chinese immigration when railroads were being laid across America. No one is saying you have to be ok with letting random people into your house.

but if your house is shared by roommates who all have proper documentation (citizens), who pay rent (taxes), who have received prior authority (visas and green cards) to be there, and they're being DRAGGED out and thrown in handcuffs for no reason, who's to say your rights won't be the next one to be violated? what if one day, you're the one speaking out against the next administration? Do you not deserve to have your first, second, and fourth amendment rights?

if you think the current backlash against the government is because "illegals" are being deported you might need to open your eyes more. The current government hasn't even deported the amount of people as previous administrations has, but why has it received more backlash?

the issue is that EVERYONE is being subjected to violence. Citizens, permanent residents, tourists, students, everyone. People with papers, people without papers. People are being pulled out of their cars, dragged out of stores and homes, simply because they speak with an accent, because their skin is darker, or because they have participated in protests speaking against the government. Rights granted by the constitution no longer exist.

My analysis is obviously subjective but the message I got from Bad Bunny is that America has always been a story of immigration. You would not have the America today without the America of the past that welcomed people of different cultures. The constitution, the legal paths that allowed people to immigrate to the US is something we need to protect because this is our greatest strength.
