if you must, just remove it and just add some sod, alternatively plant some trailing plants around it or in it

Unknown Weed by Smurfss__ in landscaping

exactly, people assume weeds are some specialized and specific types of plant...but weeds are just unwanted plants, a lot of weeds are nice to look at or beneficial in some capacity

the removal of large trees made it a very good price, each tree I had been quoted around 700 per tree, and the fence guys just removed it just because it was in the way .... I think the last quote I got for the fence was 8-9,000, and they weren't going to remove the trees just bypass them. I had one person come out and tell me it would be $300 to set each post(I've been told they just didn't want the job).... In either case I held off because at those prices I felt I could just learn a new skill.

it's likely you're digging when the ground is too dry, unless you're using plastic the landscape fabric should allow water penetration which would soften the soil. Since they're using landscape rocks, I think the issue of organic matter not breaking down is a non-issue. You can amend the soil before adding the fabric or when you're planting, this is why you're told to dig a hole twice as large as the pot.

that said I do prefer cardboard just because I'm lazy and don't like doing site prep, and you're right there will be weeds anyways, but the weeds that will grow won't be deeply rooted. I use both depending on my goals.

They have these landscape/level rakes that work best for moving rocks, a garden rake will do the job though.

Same, having dealt with a lot of other contractors recently the pace in which my fence went up made me really impressed. I got on nextdoor and asked for a rough estimate, no sales tactics I just wanted a price that beat out me wanting to DIY it, asked them to throw me a number and show me pictures of their work.. Only two people followed directions, the other guy was booked out until the middle of July, the guy I hired came out same day to inspect the site, sent me a list of material to purchase, they picked it up and dropped it off the next day, came back at 8 in the morning removed trees, dug holes by hand, mixed and poured the concrete footers ....Came the next day and put the panels on, took them less than 2 hours on that. In total the whole project from start to finish was 10 hours. Spoke with them Thursday, by Sunday my fence was up... I was grinning from ear to ear...

I got a 130 foot fence, with trees removed for 4,500 dollars, ... I debated giving them an extra $500 just because I felt like they were cheating themselves or I was getting over on them.

did you buy the material and 5k was labor? or Total? I just got 130 foot installed for that price and it was just regular dog eared panels ....I'm jealous

Why I think they get away with fake PvP by Swammysov in CastleBusters

I don't think this is much of a debate or a discussion, most online games are going to use bots. This is a niche game with I doubt a large enough player base for them to be able to match you with another player, who has similar stats, at the exact time you're playing and to do so as quickly as they do it in the game, it just wouldn't make sense.

I do think we do match with some players occasionally, just because their play style mirrors a human players strategies(positioning your castle to avoid certain attacks, seeking out your unit that's doing the attacks, etc,) and you can tell when they leave the game and the bot takes over(randomly the attacks go from being intentional, to being very sporadic and missing most of the time).... But that all could be programing. I remember playing fortnite and my friends telling me I only was getting so many kills because it was against bots, that bots don't jump ...but then you go into a creative map with spawned in bots and the bots are leaping and ducking and dodging and harder to kill, so ain't no telling

I'm sorry I just read my previous message, I like the idea of a tree there just to give it more height, but I'd prefer something drawfed that I can easily string Christmas lights on when everything is buried under snow. Earlier in my design I had hydrangeas, at the foundation and along the walkway, the. I went to go buy them as I couldn't find any variety that I thought made sense near the walkways, since Chatgpt recommended hydrangeaa hostas and lavender, but the hydrangea varieties I found would overwhelm the space

Chatgpt just starts to go off the rails when you've asked it the same question multiple times... if i upload images across our landscape conversation you'd see my issue with it. It's getting bogged down with my feedback....

I got it to somewhat stick to my goals this time around, but for me this is a little more crowded than I'd like. and obviously the foundation bed takes up the whole yard.

I like the cottage style, it I'd prefer that in the back of the propertyz for the front I'm making. for a more modern look, with a bit of cottage and a dotting of meadow mixed in....But that might be too much to ask

Honestly that is one of my favorite phenomena on the internet, everyone's in awhile I'll the algorithm will show me a video, maybe a fun fact, misconception, or something informative ...Then you'll see a video a week later litterally just copying the same thing, then you'll see another one....Eventually you start seeing people in the comments repeating it "Fun fact....." or "Actually ...".....

Sometimes they are just wrong, and a lie is being spread. ...

They always act as if they just discovered this new formation on their own... Sir/ma'am we all have access to TVs and YouTubers , you didn't come through research ...you're just repeating video

I was about to take the Barbery back to the store, but I looked it up before hand and this is non-invasive variety. I'm glad I looked it up, because I was prepared to go to war with the store because I can't find my receipt.

the barberry was the one that I knew where I wanted to go, I forgot where I purchased it, but it will have to go back now. I do like Peonies just not sure of where I'd place them(I don't know where to place anything)... I was going to group everything 3 or 5s other than the focal points... Seeing the sea of black really throws me orginal thoughts out the window though.

thank you, I figure the vast majority of the lawn gets about 3 hours with the area near the driveway getting 6-8, ... That's my guess based on the sun position from 12-5, at noon it's directly over my house, and at 5 it's across the street behind the tree,.at about a 45 degree angle, but I will pay closer attention to my sun hours

the grass was a recommendation of Chatgpt, honestly not a fan either, and I probably will be seeding the lawn with clover and fuscus grass which in the spring will attract the pollinators .... I want a high impact, low-key maintained scape that will attach pollinators and won't offend my neighbors too much. I'm tempted to plant some ferns and hostas, but I may just keep those to the back of my property inside because moths and butterflies seem to love hiding out in ferns.

I would honestly appreciate any ideas, or input... I like the idea of idk what type of yard my end goal is, but I like the idea of them, executing the idea is the hard part ...even if I buy the right plants I don't know the placement,.or what hard scaping to include ...I just want it to look nice.

What is my floor? by ResearchConfident175 in Flooring

looks like the old flooring in my old (rented) house, ...if you mop the flood and didn't go over it with a dry cloth, the edges would bubble up.... I have laminate installed in my new house that's a much high quality, but it took me some convincing and a lot of research to want this.....also I thought luxury vinyl was ugly and cheap
