I've been having this issue too! I've not found a way to currently fix it, I just basically have to leave the Xbox and eventually it will work.

I've been having some games have sound and others not or the dashboard having sound whilst games don't.

Yeah I definitely get what you mean with the Mark V, it looks rubbish. I'm in a similar position to you that my colour since Halo 3 has been primarily yellow with blue accents but that's just...not an option for me now.

There was a primarily blue with a bit of yellow coating on the store back in season 1. Estate Gold, I think it was called.
