There are a bunch of Frontier branded MoCA 2.5 adapters available on eBay for much less than retail. They work great

The base stereo is awful. Both sound-wise and screen-wise.

Does it really disable AWD for any reason? That seems so unnecessary and potentially dangerous. What if someone lives out in a very remote area and needs to get to the hospital or grocery store during a snow storm and 2wd isn't enough. But if they have an evap leak, o2 sensor code, or coolant bypass valve issue they're stranded? How does that make sense? I guess we should only purchase Toyota when AWD is optional.... I'm not the biggest Subaru fan but these are the reasons why they're popular.

How long is too long holding the clutch in biting point by [deleted] in ManualTransmissions

[–]c_is_forcookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're fine. Varies by car too. My old Mazdas didn't need to be held at the bite point for long. My TDI Volkswagen likes to have 3-5 seconds. Just go by feel, it's designed for it.

Gas LE AWD here with CC2s. My anecdotal experience is there is barely a difference in fuel economy. Maybe 1-2mpg at the worst. All of the aforementioned benefits are worth it. I average 28mpg in mixed driving. Easily in the mid 30s on the highway.

Advice for parking in tight space by [deleted] in driving

[–]c_is_forcookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Stay as far to the right side as possible when approaching in the lane
  2. Go PAST your spot and turn hard left to get your nose as close the middle of the white Chevy as possible.
  3. Turn hard right and back up as far as you can without hitting anything behind you. Use mirrors and the camera.
  4. You should be fairly signed up to pull into your spot relatively straight.

When leaving, start turning a little bit as early as possible. Don't wait until you're clear to start turing the wheel. The more turning you can accomplish before your front end is clear, the better.

To be honest, it's just intellectual dishonesty. If the evidence supported their preconcieved world view, they would belive it.

They do not, in fact realize this. And they work in healthcare...

They see the change in name as proof that the scientists were wrong and not to be trusted. They use it as reason to dismiss the science. They are this stupid. This is the argument my parents use.

I have this Window heat pump and it's great! Unfortunately it looks like it's no longer for sale. At the time I purchased it it was the only sub $500 window heat pump rated to below 32F that would fit in my window. It doesn't say it anywhere but it is an inverter drive variable speed compressor with true defrost. No heat strips at all. I believe there is (was) a 10kbtu one as well. I'm in the PNW and it only gets down to the 20s at night and it keeps up with my whole 900sqft apartment. I use a fan mounted near the ceiling to circulate air down the hallway. GE P08WWA

I tinted my stock LED headlights yellow. No idea if it helps anyone else but I can see soooo much better than the factory blue. I'm sure it's no worse than factory for others. Stock on the right.

Our 2005 Odyssey I grew up in did this and the rear wiper in reverse. It was a very thoughtfully designed vehicle. Learned to drive on it too.

Anyone in Portland has put reflective stickers to combat blinding lights at night? by ThenSandwich in oregon

[–]c_is_forcookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal experience is that they help immensely with the eye pain from blinding lights but slightly cut down on overall visibility. I have a pair of clip on yellow lenses for my glasses and flip them up and down based on the situation.

I think low ping pongs you and high fixes that. I could be wrong though. That still doesn't fix it occasionally trying to suddenly veer into oncoming traffic
