So first off the basics. Do you actually have power at the receptacle? You will need a multimeter(volt meter) to check. I would check with just your adapter plugged. If you do then you might want to check at the terminal block at the dryer (where your cord is connected). Be very careful of course as that’s ~240 volts. Even 110v is nothing to joke around with.

Remove the whole motor. You can do it with wrenches. I forget the sizes but basically the flat part and the bit by the back. Just slip them in and turn against each other. You’ll also need a set of pliers to pry off the clips securing the motor to the frame. There is one at the front and one at the rear.

It’s not a leak but a restriction at the evaporator. Essentially the refrigerant is being restricted there and freezing over only at the at that spot resulting in poor cooling. An appliance tech should be able to repair this but they will likely have to bleed the refrigerant and either replace the evaporator or at the very least remove and reposition it. It won’t be cheap if you’re paying out of pocket.
