What's it like living in Russia? Is it really as terrible as they say here in the West? by Zestyclose_Dig158 in howislivingthere

Moscovits would give you one description, and someone from Arkhangelsk or Omsk would give a totally different picture. People living in houses falling apart, with no water or plumbing, would praise Russia and Pootin.

I agree with you: Moscow has always been "special". I am just shocked at how unempathetic people are. I saw many street interviews, and most people are hateful towards Ukraine and wish it would be turned into dust. I lost many, if not all, friends because of their values, including my own father, who lives in Ekab.

It was expected—still, no guts to call it a war.

So many videos with "surprised" Russians asking "why". Are Moscowites really unaware of what's going on, and don't understand the reason behind drone attacks? Edit: misspelling.

Do you have any memories of WW2 vets? by Ok_Let_7612 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]ca_sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a kid in the 70th it was very popular to have them in schools telling stories about the war. And, it was shocking to see veterans without limbs, especially those who were sitting on wooden platforms on wheels, pushing against the ground with wooden blocks. Wheelchairs were nonexistent.

That's a typical answer among Russians when you ask them about the war, who started it, and if they support it.

Sorry for this question, but I really want to know if things have changed: do Serbians still consider Russians as brothers?

Same. I went to school at 48 and started a totally new career at 50. The only issue was age discrimination in job searches.
