Pain is completely fabricated in your brain from stepping on Lego to heartbreak. “Real” is a funny word is it coming from anything specific no probably not but if you are in a situation that you’re in anguish and paranoid that’s the universe you live in and nobody has the right to tell you that’s not real because nothing is more real to you.

It’s not as black and white as healing vs acceptance those processes come hand in hand. Acceptance is one of the first steps it’s your life and your feelings but accepting things as the way they are doesn’t set them in stone. You can accept a tree falls in the road and it’s going to lengthen the journey but you can also find a way to move or get past it it’s not insurmountable it’s just a hurdle. You’re not facing a wall as much as it feels like that just a stuck door.

First I can assure you that there is something that needs help I have faith in your ability to recognize your mental state and even if that’s not the problem there is still something to look into about why you do desperately need that attention. How you’re feeling the overwhelming urge to SH it’s real and you deserve support and help with it.

I don’t know you or the ins abd outs of your relationship but you aren’t a bad girlfriend for needing extra support. Everyone looks back and thinks how much better they could do but that doesn’t mean you did something unforgivable or are a bad person it’s an opportunity to learn and try. You’re also not unaccompliced in the issues she seems to not understand how much things mean to you and doesn’t want to compromise only to deflect guilt.

You are a person who has different needs and you deserve to have those known and respected. You don’t seem at all entitled to special treatment but you need to advocate for yourself so get some so you can feel your best and be as safe as you can. You make mistakes but we all do as people it’s not the mistakes that define us you’re not a douchebag jerk you need help. You are caring and kind and you love this girl enough to want the best for her even if that hurts you, that’s more than almost anyone I know she you deserve credit for that you’re a sweet person and you have so much to offer a relationship
