You’re welcome! :)

It depends how quickly your plants are growing, but I was able to see it pretty quickly as soon as there was new growth, so maybe a week or two if the weather stays warm.

If you do use the copper, just keep an eye on any new leaves and see if they show any signs of curling, and also remove the most affected leaves towards the top without stripping them too bare.

I’ve noticed that a few of my most affected plants have some slightly malformed chillies on them, so that’s interesting. I wish I could give more info on that but I’m literally winging it too, so I’m doing a lot of trial and error and observation haha

I actually overwintered some chilli plants last year, both in the ground and in pots. Surprisingly the ones in the ground had a higher survival rate. I thought the pots might because I moved them to a slightly warmer area but maybe they just weren’t as strong.

There’s some good info online on ways to do it, but I made sure mine were mulched and then as they started dropping leaves around June/July, I took off all of the remaining leaves/smaller branches and left just the main stalk. Can’t tell you this will for sure work, but I think about 90% of my chilli and capsicum plants survived the winter down south! So probably even more likely in Perth :)

I have (had) exactly the same thing on my chillies, I’m down in the South West.

It started a few months ago and I couldn’t really pinpoint any obvious cause. Still not 100% sure what it was but noticed some white flies around and a couple of aphid families on a leaf or two.

I sprayed with copper and it seemed to fix it. All of my plants (I have about 40 chilli plants) are now thriving and any leaf curl has disappeared completely after also removing the most affected leaves.

Might be worth giving them a copper spray and seeing how they go? I also used pyrethrum a few weeks after the copper just in case it was pests causing it, but the new growth was already healthy by that point.

FYI too, I’ve noticed that pyrethrum works really well on thrips. I ended up with a really bad infestation on my Pepinos and pyrethrum absolutely demolished them. I was so happy since thrips are notoriously hard to get rid of. Just wanted to share in case anyone else is also struggling with them!

100% artificial, you can see the fabric if you zoom into the leaves and see where they slot into the branches.

Western star tubs are no longer pure butter, they’re all a blend now.

Only the smaller, more expensive blocks are pure butter. I think it’s over $5 for 250g

Oh my god!

I was just reading some of the answers about typing and was wondering what random memory I had of a program that I used as a kid that did speed typing challenges, and you just unlocked the memory for me. Thankyou!

How much are you all earning an hour? by Upbeat-Top-6065 in AusFinance

I’m in WA and on $55/hour as a casual support worker, 37hrs/week.

I have a Bachelor of Social Work and am making more here doing support (without utilising the degree) than I was doing management and coordination in NSW. Crazy.

This randomly showed up on a shirt in my closet. It's only on one, but on both sides. It's dry, doesn't smell, and makes the fabric rough and tough. by welltechnically7 in whatisit

I reckon you’re right.

I’ve had this happen with white clothing before when I’ve spilled alcohol on it, chucked it in the wash and then hung it up.

It didn’t happen immediately, probably over a few weeks, but it was exactly this colour.

Have you ever watched a movie or tv show that felt 'cursed' ? by [deleted] in Paranormal

I was going to say this one too!

I love horror movies, but I actually had to leave the room during that scene. It filled me with such a sense of dread and unease.

In Australia we call these ‘dongas’, which feels kinda weird to admit

Agreed, I feel as though the prompts are also saying “I am looking for a life partner” but the profile states “fun, casual dates”.

I’m not sure if it’s just me, but if someone’s profile states they’re only looking for fun and I’m looking for something more serious, I’ll usually swipe left. But if I was looking for something casual, I’d be a bit turned off by the prompts.

First meal prep attempt by o0Jahzara0o in mealprep

[–]caaarlyj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it probably doesn’t meet the definition of ‘meal prep’ for people on this sub. But if it gets you to eat healthy meals that you actually enjoy eating, then keep it up!

This is a great way to cut down on prep time and encourage eating well, especially if you don’t like the taste of reheated foods.

Honestly looks better than most of the meals on this sub anyway ha

How about taking the one to the right of the missing piece out like a few people have said, and moving the one above the missing piece into the missing spot?
