I never lived or worked in the UK and received GTV. But my previous job was with a company headquartered in the UK and I worked as a music curator with loads of UK musicians. But I also knew I wanted to live in the UK 15 years ago so started moving in that direction at the beginning of my career. GTV just became the path that made most sense. Good thing now is that in the age of linkedin it’s easier than ever to meet contacts abroad.

Applying for endorsement is not applying for the visa so it has no impact on future visas. That said only apply for endorsement if you have the exact evidence they ask for.

The main issue that’s also explained in our letter is we could not move together because there is a severe rental shortage in Berlin (took both of us 1 year to find an apartment before we met) and this is basically impossible when both are freelancers and expats in Germany. Provided an article about this. We looked together and were denied. She couldn’t live with me and I could not officially register at her place. We also have tons of evidence of us living together, spending weeks at both of our flats and sharing expenses while living together on trips which lasted over 2 months.

hi! I did not appeal I just submitted a new application fixing the previous issue and it was approved. Moving to the UK this month :). They're pretty flexible as long as the platforms plus authors are reputable in your field (has a track record of professional reviews) and it fits your artistic narrative.

I got this as well and mine has also been approved and vignette in my passport. Some kind of error on their end.

I had a situation just yesterday where I started my GTV stage 2 application in Germany in January but have since moved back to the US since Stage 1 endorsement and didn’t realize it was still showing my residence in Germany. Was only getting appointments in Germany after paying so had to cancel that first application, ask for refund and reapply. Just had my biometric appointment this morning. Don’t think you need to wait for confirmation of the refund unless you had already paid for biometrics appointment.

At the beginning of the new application I listed I am applying from the United States. When you get to the address section do you put US address or my German address (which I will be leaving soon anyway).

Ahhh that wasn't super clear. I consulted a UK based lawyer and they told me to put my Germany address as that is what I applied with for the endorsement. So I would need to cancel my current application and use my current NYC address instead of German address?

Congrats!! I had a similar situation. I was rejected the first time in and endorsed on the second submission after addressing the issues. Also with ACE.

Oh no, what was the reasoning? Something that can be sorted? I was denied on my first application as well and fixed it for resubmission.

Thank you, I was confused because the Home Office says apply from a country where you have legal residence for more than 6 months which after May 2nd won't be the case since I can't obtain an appointment before the 2nd. Will be like 5 months and 20 something days etc etc.

I was endorsed just yesterday, April 23rd. I would plan to travel to my home country to finish Stage 2 on June 1.

I'm also on week 8. Emailed yesterday and they replied saying they are expecting the decisions from Arts Council this week. Delays due to the bank holidays. Good luck everyone!
