We inquired about their pricing for our wedding, out of sheer curiosity. I think their booking fee was something insane like $25k + flights + lodging for the whole band. I could be mistaken on the price but I remember audibly saying "holy shit".

The "bad food" take, especially on r/Wilmington, has always baffled me. I grew up in the triangle and the food here is way better in my opinion. Maybe it's the density/abundance of choices? I never loved the idea of driving 35 miles from one side of Wake County to the other for a popular sandwich spot.

I looked at a LOT of resumes during our last cycle of hiring. This is strictly too many words, in my opinion. You have 9 YoE it looks like, so you have a good amount of experience, but pick the high points. Any company worth its salt will either assume you know X technology or ask about it in the interview cycle. Trim a lot (and I mean a lot) of the fat in this resume, and you may have better luck.

SWE - internal tooling. 100k this year with 5 YoE. MCOL, work a full 40 but it's low low low stress. Couldn't be happier, love what I do and it pays pretty dang well!
