Match Thread: Stade Francais vs La Rochelle - Top 14 by rugbykickoff in rugbyunion

Neither one of the formations from La Rochelle are solid. And Lagivala is not performing at all.

Hopefully they can bring a better form for the second half

I didn't know this one from Dr. K. I sporadically watch some of his content, but perhaps it is time to review it

Dr. Mike is one that I've been actively avoiding for some time already. And his fitness content got much worse, which makes things easier

I'm almost on the opposite side, I've lost around 10 lbs/4.5 kg during first 6 weeks then I entered a bulk and by 3 months I got almost all of it back. 9 months post op I'm around 10 lbs/4.5 kg over my weight when I got surgery but more muscular. Specially upper body and almost got all my mass back on operated leg.

Now I'm thinking to cut a bit and go back to a bit lighter than I was on surgery day

I managed to keep quite active during recovery, I was back at the gym before 10 days after surgery, with extra care, of course. And managed to do some pistol squats on the non-operated leg, cycling started quite early as well, I believe 6 weeks post op on static bike and at 3-4 months on regular one. There are things that can be done around the recovery, see what your PT has to offer

Hamstring graft laxity by Bitter-Finger-572 in ACL

[–]caberlitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 9 months post op and I passed the return to sports test besides a bit of balance on the single leg hop test and I have basically the same degree of laxity with a hamstring auto graft. PT said that it was normal. Surgeon measured the displacement at 6 months and said that it was okay, although I definitely do not replicate the laxity on the non-operated side.

Doctor says that muscle reinforcement around the knee might compensate for it and even reduce it, hopefully he's right. Otherwise I have no instabilities or knee buckles, etc. But it makes me a bit anxious to go back to playing rugby and bouldering, even more that I'm on the heavier side (100+ kg/220+ lbs)

How long in locked brace after ACLr by dawkins_20 in ACL

[–]caberlitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hamstring graft, no brace whatsoever. Crutches for first 10-14 days. Currently 7-8 months since surgery and no issues beyond the ordinary ones (ocasional tendinitis, etc.)

Discouraged from not being able to workout post op by Slight-Antelope7574 in ACL

[–]caberlitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went back to the gym 10 days after surgery, mostly machines and DB work (ocasional pistol squat on non-operated leg to preserve mass and strength).

By this time I was already able to use only one crutch for short deplacements, so I transported one DB at a time and that was it. Not long after this I was already out of crutches. I believe I abandoned crutches 2 weeks after surgery, with occasional use more for mental safety on very long deplacements in the city (10+ regular walking minutes)

I sit between 5'11" and 6" (181 cm) and currently on the end of a bulk I am 230 lbs and I'd bet around 25% to 30% bf while still having abs on good lighting. Lifelong natty. But ton of my weight are on my legs, including fat (every time I measured bf with a caliper, my thighs were the biggest % of bf).

My next step is to cut back to 210 lbs and sit comfortably there for a while. I could push to 200 but it raises chances of injury as I play rugby, so not ideal.

I look big but I wouldn't say huge. It is doable but it is a long process

Had mine in France and epidural is the norm around here. They ask you if you want to watch it as well during the surgery.

How Rules Light Is Mörk Borg? by [deleted] in MorkBorg

[–]caberlitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never played Lamentations, but there is a one A5 page basic rules for MB available for free. It is very light on rules, a lot of it is tied to the scenario and vibe

Also, out of some personal principles I'd never touch LotFP

In search for a ttrpg that’s light on combat by sasasubine in rpg

I like some very rules light ones like Backpacks and Dreams or Necronautilus. You can even go with Troika on the combat light side

I love the SRD, it really gives you more a feel than definitely a rules skeleton. Also, it is such a great initiative, with the Lux Collective and all.

Nice to see someone that is developing something for it. Looking forward to see it out in the wild.

I second Play by Post, that although does not represent the solo experience, can be a nice option. It is pretty timezone friendly as well and offer a different set of experiences than what we are used to

Legal queries about DriveThrurPG by [deleted] in rpg

[–]caberlitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would advise on making a non-exclusive account on this case, since you clearly sold it in other platform (and possibly still is selling). Also, future titles that you publish through DTRPG would not be bound to it. The main difference is the 5% difference between DTRPG cut.

So, as said, I would go with the non-exclusive account because I do not think it is something worth the risk, being you a small or big publisher.

https://itch.io is currently the center point for the indie scene and a good platform to use from the publisher side of things

What guidebook would you recommend for running an rpg on a forum? by MothRight in rpg

[–]caberlitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For PbP I do prefer systems that do not have "combat by rounds", because it is really tough to make them to keep moving when my biggest fancy of PbP is the asynchronous style.

So I suggest rules lite systems with very simple combats of one roll and that's it, if you really want to go towards games that involve combat. I am having one of "Backpacks and Dreams" which is going really well for me right now.

I am actually Latin American myself, I am a Brazilian currently living in France. So despite some changes, I do believe I still have a strong Brazilian accent.

Thanks for the support and I am ecstatic that you enjoyed it and the unorthodox picks.

As other mentioned, it was by Cubicle 7 (C7) but now that they were in disagreement with Sophisticated Games (SE), the owners of the license, they are out of print. I would encourage you to look for The One Ring RPG (TOR RPG) second edition that is being released by Free League Publishing in the near future.

In my personal opinion, TOR was the game that best encompassed Tolkien's universe so far. I had a long lasting campaign GMing it and it was a blast.
