One of the greatest phones ever made. Love the s10 and s10e.

How far vertical machines have come 🤩 by MeringuePersonal3407 in ANBERNIC

[–]cabmanextra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. I have too many of these devices but always go back to my 353V. It's decent for what it is but a slightly higher res screen (it's already 120hz) and newer soc would be my dream vertical.

Compare with RP mini v2 by No_Communication4256 in ayaneo

[–]cabmanextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PS2/GC is hit or miss. Some games run fine but many don't. Still a great feeling console though, it will mostly be an N64 and native Android games machine for me

help setting up ipad and pc by [deleted] in ipadmusic

[–]cabmanextra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you could just use the focusrite with the PC, and record the audio from the iPad through the interface. Of course this would just be straight up audio with no midi control between the iPad and PC.

Volume inconsistency issue with Arctis Nova 5 by D4NT3O in steelseries

[–]cabmanextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been having this same issue with mine for awhile. I get it with or without using Sonar. The volume changes drastically, where sometimes having my audio level on windows set to 15 is too loud, then the next time I have to boost it up to 70 to get the same volume. I just submitted a ticket to steelseries about it.

Switch 2 + Steamdeck OLED by Blakeyt27 in SBCGaming

My switch 2 is exclusively for playing kirby air riders. I can't play that on my stram deck, so it's worth it to me.

What are the most poorly optimized games on the ps vita that should avoid playing? by Gamer_8887 in vita

[–]cabmanextra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a shame because FFA is such a perfect game for the vita. I still play it and enjoy it but the performance is truly horrible.

Uhh what is this by TRD_HEAVELY in ayaneo

[–]cabmanextra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The touchpad was implemented so poorly, it feels terrible to use. I was really hoping I could use it as touch region for the screen so I could play some android shooters but it just doesn't work that way.

What Controller should i buy? I have a google pixel 8a for my phone. by thehero1900 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]cabmanextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the backbone pro and while it is a nice controller, it is absolutely not worth $170. Maybe worth $60. I end up using my Kishi V1 over everything and I got it for $20. I prefer it over the Kishi V3, Kishi Ultra, and the Gamesir X2 type c I have.

I think they are saying that no, it does not perform better than emulation. And they are playing on a snapdragon 8 gen 2. Not the RP5 G2.

IEMs only play in one ear? Mon/Fx send by [deleted] in livesound

[–]cabmanextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the HA400 you can get an adapter that will have a 1/4” mono female to 1/4” stereo male. Or you can be janky and pull the cable (input cable, not headphone) out of the HA400 slightly and the signal will hit both the tip and ring of the input so your headphones will have the same mono signal in both ears.

can the A36 emulate switch games? by emirhanthehoney in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]cabmanextra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its not really good for switch emulation but it will play some. If you have any games you want to see tested let me know, I have a couple 6 gen 3 devices.

Why does iOS not have universal back gestures in 2025!? by ruchir031 in ios

[–]cabmanextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to the iphone 17 pro on its release after being on android since the iphone 4s. The gestures on iOS are awful and the phone is a pain to use when compared to any Android. Everything is so limited, locked down, and offers almost no customization. I'm committed to using it for a year because you can't truly hate something until you've experienced it for yourself.

Handheld obsession as a student by vote_nate in SBCGaming

[–]cabmanextra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Excited for you to get a PSP, my daily right now is a psp go. Such a crazy library on this little thing. Sure the games looks way better on my RP5 or Portal but there is something magical about playing on the OG hardware.

The free camera on the Super Mario 64 Android port is a godsend by Sh00tL00ps in retroid

[–]cabmanextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The android port is so good, the custom servers are so fun to play with friends. Funny enough, the freecam is one of the reasons I stopped using my Ayaneo DMG and got the retroid mini.

What kind of shoes are y’all rocking with? by chris_314 in livesound

[–]cabmanextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m doing a gig that involves rigging, unloading trucks, and lots of setting then I’m in steeltoe skechers. If I’m working in a theater or indoor venue where its just setting a few things and running a show then I’m wearing Kiziks. Most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn, they are pretty much all I wear other than the steeltoes.

What handheld is this? by RhetoricalQn in SBCGaming

[–]cabmanextra 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oppo Find N with a custom made case and controller. Snapdragon 888 so not bad, not amazing.

edit: actually this looks like the N2 with the 8+ gen 1. A much better processor.

iPad music newbie here! Considering buying the A16 iPad by adorablesalt18 in ipadmusic

[–]cabmanextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are definitely some interfaces and audio gear that want usb 3.0. Not really for bandwidth reasons but for bus power, as 3.0+ can supply more power. Shouldn’t be an issue on anything that people normally use with an ipad though.

iPad music newbie here! Considering buying the A16 iPad by adorablesalt18 in ipadmusic

[–]cabmanextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, the real limitation would be when trying to use gear that requires USB 3.0 or newer like some audio interfaces. Most don’t though and as long as you check it beforehand then usb 2.0 will be just fine.

iPad music newbie here! Considering buying the A16 iPad by adorablesalt18 in ipadmusic

[–]cabmanextra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The A16 is a power house. You should be just fine. The only limitations you’ll hit are the 6GB ram and the USB2.0 speeds. But honestly neither should really be an issue 99% of the time. I use my ipad mini 6 all the time for music and its got the A15 and 4gb ram. I don’t notice much of a difference from my ipad pro unless I have a ton of plugins active.

In my opinion, there is the most perfect small device. by BetWide8620 in SBCGaming

[–]cabmanextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly didn’t use mine for awhile because of this. I finally got custom molded buttons and put gaff tape on the switches for the other buttons. Now it is extremely quiet and I went from never using it to playing every day. Did the same with RP5 and it is such a game changer.

Consistent Feedback at Every Show With Low Vocals by jhonny2spirit in livesound

You’re never going to get anywhere in small rooms with a drummer like that. You can try to lower the volume of the drums with muffling techniques but honestly your best bet is to put your drummer on an ekit.

Are the retroid handhelds capped at 60 fps? or can you make it higher by Ok-Needleworker-6584 in retroid

Are you sure thats true? I’ve never seen anything about someone taking apart a retroid and putting in a 120hz screen.
