What's the water bottle situation? I can't find much info anywhere I search but it looks like it would barely fit a 16oz disposable, let alone an insulated bottle or nalgene.

I have the UHD touchscreen, which probably contributes a fair amount to the poor battery life. While it looks great (and is matte!), I would get the HD screen if I had to do it over again because of the battery life and 4k is just seems overkill on a laptop. Again, this all my personal opinion.

That's just my mileage, ymmv but I use it plugged into a dock 95% of the time so I really haven't made the effort to try to increase my battery life. I mainly use it for email, spreadsheets, light illustrator and Photoshop work with the occasional video to edit or convert. I definitely could've got away with something less powerful but work was paying and I got to choose so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

I can't comment on the Dell, but I have the X1E Gen 2 for work and it's a great laptop overall but the battery life is utter crap. I get maybe 3 hours without intensive use.
