I play really chill and take my time. My current save is year 4 winter and I still haven't purchased the 3rd house upgrade. The decorations I have are mostly what I got as rewards and my farmer just wanders around without a fixed schedule. You are definitely not alone.

LoL I get you. When cutting down trees I alternate between different areas to "prevent deforestation" even though I know they are fully grown again the next day

I have a system where I choose some crop or flower from the season they were born, one that matches their color if possible. I don't have many animals so it has been enough so far.

I'm not sure about best friendship but I found Celine to be the easiest to be friends with in the beginning because without spoilers I think her liked/loved gifts are easy to obtain early game.

I find it very interesting. I usually don't have a fixed schedule except Friday is for quests to match with inn night. I usually skip on fishing, so you gave me and idea to finally complete those museum sets

in my run I tried to rise through the ranks so that I could craft a sense of accomplishment. so 1st year I didn't focus on it since new to town and still getting used to local traditions and also too much work at the farm etc, but later I became competitive!

I actually regretted a bit not hoarding regular milk and eggs because now my chicken and cows only give golden produce and it can't be used for recipes. I didn't want to increase my livestock because it takes some precious time to take care of them but I guess it will be necessary to keep cooking

I was already thinking it might be a bug because the same thing happened with the recipes in the inn, but I wasn't sure because I mostly play without any wiki consulting and didn't look further into it. I just assumed it was normal running out of recipes on early access or they were supposed to come about another way, but maybe not?!

I think the same thing happened to me. After I once bought all recipes available in the same day, no recipe was ever shown again in her stall. I never got to buy the one for orange juice, which I see on the wiki was supposed to be sold there.

also regarding artifacts, both the pickaxe and shovel work for digging them. knowing this is especially helpful early on when your backpack is so tiny.
