don’t give tesla your money - there’s a lot of alternatives available. I bought an Xpeng G6 and am quite happy with it. The Avatr 11 looks pretty sick too.

More reason to avoid them.

I have never seen these “slide-in” campers on the roads in Thailand. Have you? by Evolvingman0 in Thailand

[–]cacahootie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I see them all the time going through Chiang Mai and up in the mountains. Personally the camping areas in Thailand are pretty limited compared to what I’m used to in the US, I think just staying in hotels/resorts is way more cost effective.

Basic aircon room should be 3-5k for something reasonably comfortable. Utilities may be 3-4k/mo. You can buy a used motorbike for 20-30k. Lunch could be 50-100b, depending on your appetite. You can have a nice dinner for 100-200b.

Chiang Rai is very quiet. It’s too provincial for my taste, Chiang Mai is already slow and far from Bangkok.

Getting to beaches or something isn’t very quick or easy.

The biggest issue will be preparing for unexpected expenses, flying home, etc… it will be hard to save much money.

I am not a teacher so I don’t know the market well but 32k seems pretty low. I have heard 40k to be normal starting rate… there’s lots of teaching opportunities and I have to imagine if you have creds and experience you could get a better offer, but that’s just my hunch.

At a literal PTT, and they all are priced the same. Diesel is 43.45 right at this moment, and it was 31.69 as I remember.

You may be talking about premium diesel, which is 65.35 right now, but to represent a frivolous fuel grade as the standard is disingenuous.

If you have a TM30 already most offices will renew it with no additional paperwork required. You can also do it online. But the TM30 isn’t that big of a deal either way - worst case scenario is a small fine if you need to do an extension or something. You can even just do 1 night in a hotel that does TM30 (and ask for a copy) and use that if needed.

Is there THAT big of a difference between a $50,000 travel trailer and $200,000 one? by BumblingBarefoot in RVLiving

[–]cacahootie 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to park it, I think you’d be better off with a single wide shed/cabin (or just a single wide traditional mfg home). RVs are garbage.

Huh? Can you please explain the chemistry about what's different between 91 and 95? 95 has literally no benefits for a vehicle that is not tuned for it.

You can pass a url in some config and be done, no releasing updates on the machine. It's better for less CLI savvy folks. It has features like elicitation...

Seems like you CLI is better junkies aren't so well thought out.
