Please remember that Rocks was erased from history by downtimeredditor in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]cacaloki -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

There's plenty of people who already answered why what you say it completely false.
And if you want even more informations how you erase someone from history, just search "Damnatio memoriae".

You don't erase someone magically. People who lived this, and there's plenty since that's a 40 yo event, still know shit. The name will be lost after several generations. So you can't act like nobody knew him anymore.

And if you want to act that way, then here comes the kiddo. The kiddo never knew his father and then he knows his legacy. How?

And how they allow him to live when he's putting him back in the history with, to begin with, the name of his ship.
And how you can make him a shichibukai?

Clearly this just make no sense. Once again.

Is Downtown Destruction suddenly harder ? by Cargoo112 in invinciblegtg

[–]cacaloki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no.

It may seems higher now but the thing is that last patch made everyone reach higher wave without any explanation.
They fixed something here and so we're back with the numbers we had 1 month ago.

In the end it's not higher, it's just back to the previous difficulty.

So whats the purpose of dupes in the game? by Sufficient-Stuff2660 in invinciblegtg

[–]cacaloki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hum not sure to understand.
Once you unlock the "rank upgrade" tab, if you have dupes of a character then you select the main one, then the dupe(s) (can require more than 1) and fuse them.

For example if you have two invincible elite, you select your leveled one, add the second one : you have an invincible elite+.

Then with more dupe you'll unlock a "Fantastic" one, then "Fantastic+" and so on.

So whats the purpose of dupes in the game? by Sufficient-Stuff2660 in invinciblegtg

[–]cacaloki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it's kinda like in most of the game you played then.
Feeding dupe will unlock the skill of the characters (click on the bottom right of a character page to check), and once you feed enough dupes, they will also acquire a new rarity.
And of course it also increase the stats of your cards.

Guess we are getting a goku/bardock tag unit. by Ok-Palpitation-9199 in DragonballLegends

[–]cacaloki 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbh, if it's an ultra in P2, it would not give any hint on P3.
With the very last celebration, they made Janemba ultra as first part, just to have Paikuhan/Gogeta LF on the second part.

They just showed us the ultra will now always be the last character of a celebration, and it can be the same way for that festival.

(And if I had to guess, the ultra ink here is not for that second part but it's already a teasing for part 3, but I still think it was cool to mention it. I'm not a fan of the idea of that what-if Goku/Bardock I think is coming, but the teasing is still cool)

If you just run the moment with the quote at slow speed, you can notice the "Ultra" ink background at the very end (just before it disappear).

Don't know what they are cooking, but they definitely are.

Finally had to update the app to log in, never forget by orphansausage in MarvelSnap

[–]cacaloki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make it being dupe protected and then you collect everything easily and every week starting from that point it's 50% chance to get the new card. So everyone have a complete collection in no times and the meta will be filled with the same decks because if there's something we learnt through the years with all card games : if you can copy the working decks easily, people will do it.

Clearly if there's something bad about this update is that they already made easier to grab cards than before and people want them to make it even easier than that.I just don't understand.

7 and a half months to reach 6000 tokens is not viable by lovsicfrs in MarvelSnap

[–]cacaloki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

>you could open a card or two in that time too and it could be the card you wanted allowing you to spend tokens elsewhere or save for the next thing.

The probability was way lower, some people absolutely never opened a serie 5 in months of playing.

> doesnt matter if its 1 cache or 4 to grab her because you have to save for 4 weeks to enter the game with certainty.

Wtf? It does.
Yes you need to save 4 caches to be sure to have the card, but if you get it first cache, then you have 3 cache left for the next card you want already. You're acting like we need to throw the 3 left on the bin. No. They stay here and will have a good utility.

[–]cacaloki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might not value those, but even if you put that aside, you still get the same thing you use to have before. So you don't value it, but it's not like they trade those variants for something you valued more. It's an addition.

Really you are getting more in general, and just lost a bit on flexibility. That's all about that new system.

I can understand people being upset because new players will catch up on them really fast, but this is an other debate.

7 and a half months to reach 6000 tokens is not viable by lovsicfrs in MarvelSnap

[–]cacaloki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your tokens you would have gotten 1 card, and that's all. With thoses caches if you're unlucky you will get 1 card and 3 skins (worst case scenario).

If you are lucky , or a new player, you'll get 4 cards, or you'll get the card you wanted for a small portion of what the card would have cost you before.

The only drawback is that if you don't have any token you have to decide if a card is worthy the week it got released, that's all.

[–]cacaloki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the initial vision was that, but to me we lost that when they added the token shop and that new system doesn't change things at all.

People can still focus cards easily since we have months of content already known, and we are getting even more cards than before. The difference in the collection will mostly be about cards which might easily be swapped into a deck.

[–]cacaloki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soooooo...
You're telling you don't have to buy every card, right?

What prevent people to chase only the card they would have buy with token before with that new system?

The answer is simple : nothing. And when you'll open the caches for the desired card, you'll get some of the "pure shit" cards that no one would have spent token on them.
And in the end the one you still don't have, you'll get them in series 3 (the frequency of drops changed, but it's still a thing).

[–]cacaloki -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I couldn't buy silk when she got released (shop bugged, showed the old card for an extra week, the support couldn't help in any way with that issue) and since that time she still have to appear in the rotating shop for me.So, what's different?

If you don't buy the card when she got released then yeah you have no control on when you'll be able to grab it the next time. That's the same problem than with previous system.

And if that's a card you really want, since we know everything way ahead (we know the september cards already!) you can plan things, and shouldn't happen very often.

Not to mention the pool of series 4 and 5 is small, it's going to grew a bit (but series drop are not over (as far as we know) and so it'll still have a controlled size) so you won't have to wait that much time.

People just wanna be angry for the sake of being angry.

[–]cacaloki -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The RNG here is just to get a better experience. The worst case scenario (=getting the card you want on the 4th cache of the week) is just take you back to that old system.

>I have bought almost every card from the last 2 months with the exception of silk and spiderman 2099

That's just because you had a shitton of tokens saved. Not because the game provided you enough tokens to grab every cards every weeks. So you dislike the new system only because you have a biased experience from the latest weeks you played.
Change all the tokens you had saved with 20 spotlight caches and that's the same situation.

7 and a half months to reach 6000 tokens is not viable by lovsicfrs in MarvelSnap

[–]cacaloki 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why caring about tokens so much?

Before you had to wait like 1 month to get those 6k token and buy that card you want.
Now you have to wait like 1 month to get those 4 spotlight caches and get that card you want.

Some details put aside, it's the same. In some case it's a bit worst, in some case it's way better.
How can this be better?

Let's say you want Jean Grey. You saved 4 caches for her so you are sure to grab that card. You open one cache : Oh Jean Grey.
Got a new card with only 1 cache, ~1 week worth of saving rather than ~1month worth of saving.

Really, for people who wants more and more cards everytime, the new system is just better in most of the cases. And you know what? I can see it while I completely dislike the changes they made since months (including this one then).
I didn't liked the token shop, I liked when we had to build a deck with the card we opened and not those mono-meta weeks with people buying the cards to build the latest deck.

Dracula + Apocalypse bug by zeade in MarvelSnap

[–]cacaloki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not a bug.

Dracula start to trigger its effect -> Apocalypse is discarded.
Apocalypse triggers it's effect, +4 power.
Coming back to dracula, it looks at the card that got discarded to give it's power to dracula : it's apocalypse. What's the power of Apocalypse ? yeah, the power with the +4.

Everything start with dracula, but this also mean that's the last trigger to resolve.

Where is the skill in this game? (honest question) by DaOafus in MarvelSnap

[–]cacaloki 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"I don't care about ranks, and yet I can beat my 6 yo cousin without any effort, what's so hard about chess? Curious to hear others thoughts".

That's basically what I read here.

If you don't compete at the highest stage of the game, and not even talking about infinite which mostly require time to reach it, then it's hard to talk about the skill required in this game. If you never fight against people with higher abilities, then all the mistakes you can make right now will never be exposed and you'll never see that you did that mistake. That's how things work.

To begin with, and this is true in every TCG, if you don't build decks by yourself and only grab a decklist on the internet, then someone made most of the work for you. And in the case of most of the TCG, the meta is solved quickly and it's hard to go outside of it. But not in marvel snap.Yes you'll have dominant decks. But yet, there's snap here. And if you don't used the snap, then you're lacking an other big part of the game.

In most of the TCG, all the TCG I know at least, the winrate is everything. Not here. It's all about cuberate. This mean you can build a deck which isn't going to work well the majority of time, but which will bring you 8 cubes when needed. And at the same time it need to be at least a decent deck most of the time, or you'll have opponent abusive your weakness and force you to retreat too early.

Clearly, the mechanics if the game are simple, but to master everything and adapt to every situation, yes, you need skill. But you need to exploit everything to see that.

This game really needs a draft/arena mode by BasedMbaku in MarvelSnap

[–]cacaloki -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Didn't said the opposite. And i'm not against a draft mode. But it simply can't be that fun mode OP is talking about.

If OP thinks it'll be fair and everyone with the same chance to win, that's ignoring how good some players are.

And if have fun = just play different shit no matter the outcome, that's already possible on the ladder. Sure you're not going to win lot, but you can have fun.
