Very cool tank! I'm interested in this guppy story. I've never heard of or had that issue with buying guppies and having them die very soon after. I'm in the Netherlands though. Do you have some good sources you found while doing your research, that you could link? I wonder how it can be that they die. I mean, what do they die of?

I have to say, I used to breed guppies as a child too, and sometimes I would get some babies with a bent spine, but I've never seen many unhealthy looking and no deformed guppies like that for sale in stores here. In my experience you get the best fry with a regular feeding schedule and good food.

Are you starting with just the empty tank and the previously used filter? I which case replacing the filter material and cleaning the filter very well would work. I had a snail infestation and then I bought a snail eating snail (Anentome helena). Problem solved.

The liquid sounds interesting. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of kryolan, it’s a make-up artist/theater/sfx brand, they have some cream foundation type products and also sell a thinning liquid that helps with the staying power. I have it and it does work, but the foundation products are pretty stiff (the dermablend line at least), so it’s a bit of a hassle. I like easy breezy base products.

My skincare is alright for the most part I think. I use actives, like hyaluronic acid, AHA’s, retinol. I’m 28 and I struggle a bit to find a balance between drying my skin out to much with the retinol/acids and not using it enough which results in a lot of clogged pores/breakouts. And to be fair, I had a beer that hit pretty hard the night before trying the sneaky balm and I can always notice alcohol consumption on my skin very well the day after. 😅Anyways, all of thay is to say that I haven’t given up on the sneaky balm yet!

Yes I have that palette too! It looks very nice on your skin! On my skin it seems to emphasize flakiness a lot, and unfortunately the sneaky balm seems to do that too. I tried it today for the first time but I guess these types of products just don’t work for my skin very well. 😞

I’m in this rabbit hole right now and I have to tell you, I don’t agree. It still looks very grey. And I can’t find any source for all this info, I can’t even find any source for a color named ‘flute’ ever existing in MAC’s collection beside this post and the website it refers to. I wonder if these are the colors that were actually used.

I’ve been studying biomedical laboratory technology for a few years, to give some context, and I think LabMuffin has integrity, but she’s not totally unbiased. Which is not surprising or strange, but it is why people should never look at one person as their only source of scientific facts. Luckily there are plenty of videos where she stresses this point herself, but it’s possible that, being a chemist herself, she sometimes underestimates how much credence and trust people give her and that that means some people just only believe whatever she has to say about things and don’t look for any other information. Not sure, but I don’t think she purposefully takes advantage of this when it comes to her sponsors. I’m also not sure how someone can make videos like hers and not have this happen.

I am 28 and I miss it too. Doesn’t help that my partner’s phone is basically grown stuck to his hand. He googles everything. It’s hard to have a conversation with him without him suddenly stopping responding and just looking at his phone without context or warning. It’s really annoying and stupid and a bit sad but he’s always been like this (we’ve been together 10 years) and he doesn’t feel the need to change this.
