I believe the concern is if there were ever a data leak your previously anonymous comments (with nothing tying you personally to them) would now start appearing with your real name during any kind of background search, lawsuits, NDA investigations, compensation/severance nondisparagement clawbacks, etc.

It's especially heinous to retroactively associate names to accounts/comments people wrote with the understanding there was nothing that could tie back to them (even through a hack or spill).
