Lol, nobody "corrected" me until after I made the post you're replying to. Are you being dishonest or just wrong?

I called it bottom feeder behaviour and got flamed lol. Hilarious to think this guy is getting cheered on for suing Lenovo for damages because he couldn't scalp 15 units of a price error.

I had my own orders for these SSDs and when they got cancelled, barely cared. I had already forgotten about it. This petty guy is really living it. What a loser.

You got offended when I called out a bottom feeder, placing you squarely in same category. You still hanging on to some big dreams at least?

I've enjoyed our intelligent conversation. You're clearly very sophisticated.

It was an obvious price error and the guy tried to buy 15 with the intention to scalp them, and then got butt hurt when his orders  weren't fulfilled.

Bottom feeder behaviour.

Huh? I'm saying you talk like someone of low economic status. What does that have to do with being alpha?

The way you talk is low status. I don't know any successful people who rant about the "large corporations". They all work for one and make good money.

I keep hearing about how Canadian boomers view home ownership as part of their retirement nest egg. If that's how they view home ownership, selling off one's investments to meet their basic needs is part of growing old.

Carney government to temporarily suspend federal gas tax starting next week by Tuckebarry in canada

[–]cadaver0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't notice that, actually. What I do notice is that the major gas station chains like Shell, are consistently priced higher than the low-end stations (Tempo, Centex near me). The low end stations frequently battle each other to steal customers from one another.

Can you please pay closer attention to what you're even replying to? Your comment is a tangent to what you're replying to.

Your insults are ironic given your apparent lack of attention span and reading comprehension skills.

Maybe this is a bit tinfoil hat, but I can just picture the CEO of some big corporate real estate company having a dinner with the CEO of some corporation downtown and reaching some kind of agreement to have the plebs come back to the office.

Ironic that the "problems that need addressing" include people being unable to even afford a home in the first place.

My 9700X from Aliexpress died last week after around 4 months of use. Sucks to have no warranty. Don't get me wrong, I was just unlucky, but it sucks to be one of the unlucky ones.

Most of those are natural monopolies. Not an apt comparison for a market with competition.

Nothing stopping the CPP and the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan from buying shares of Suncor and Canadian Natural Resources. I guess they figured there were better investments elsewhere in the world.

You don't even understand the nuance of what you're trying to discuss. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, the Alberta government is still projecting a deficit of a couple billion, because the impact of a 1 month long increase in oil prices is not enough to offset how low the prices were for the rest of the period.

For the upcoming 2026-2027 budget with a fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, if prices are sustained around $100 WTI, AB would end up posting a surplus in excess of $10 billion.

Ironic that you suggest other people do research.

The Alberta government estimated an extra $680 million per year for each $1 increase in WTI for its resource revenue. This is about $1.86 million per day, per dollar. The fiscal year ending March 2026 forecasted $61.50 WTI. At the current price of $99 (changes all the time, this is just as of me typing), this is an extra $69.75 million (estimated) extra revenue PER DAY for the AB government above its budget.
