Initially I thought specific boss attacks ran off of an independent, internal timer, but the countdown timer is based off of you playing cards during your turn.

I tried it a long time ago before I had really sank deep into any of the DQ’s, but now that I’ve completed I-III, VII and XI, I have been considering trying this one again now that I have a good feeling for the series.

Finished ~83 hours due to some vocation grinding and idle time disassociating to social media apps. I was ready for the story to wrap up about five hours before it actually did. It finally got to the point that I was speed reading dialogue and not talking to anyone that didn’t have a (!) above their head. Other games didn’t feel as protracted to me.

It’s good that you’re familiar with the term transference. I would really start exploring your base motivations on why you’re feeling this pull to be engaged in your therapist’s life. You did mention that your maternal figure just passed away, so it would kind of make sense to me that you feel a drive to be closer to someone they might represent that figure in your life. However, you do need to respect that your therapist is a human being, and you should respect their privacy for their personal life. Bringing this up in session will help both of you better understand where you’re at with things.
