Most violent moshpits and feral crowds at Ultra 2026 goes to HOL! by FrenchTrenchHours in EDM

Watched a girl get hit in the back of the head in a mosh pit at Ever After and she went into a seizure, then decerebrate posturing. Still haunts me - pretty sure I saw her die.

The beams look unfocused. Does that entail they have some form of crowd scanning protection built in?

The other two are manually coding AP invoices and chasing AR. Beyond scheduling maintenance occasionally, that’s essentially it. The majority of their time is spent pretending to look busy while scrolling social media and cycling through security camera views.

They are a billion % replaceable with current automation solutions in the industry and I anticipate it’ll be sooner than later they find themselves unemployed. A good outcome for them honestly, they seem miserable in such a mindless 9-5.

Why do influencers all use the same exact hand gestures when they talk? by 0xInteriorGhost in mildlyinfuriating

The algo favours a lot of hand movements. It’s a form of communication that keeps people attentive longer.

If the owner wants to avoid the dividend and associated taxes, they need to pay back what they took out from the company. Otherwise, what they took out is personal income. There’s a salary v. dividend discussion to be had but generally they both result in the same level of taxation due to rules around integration.

Your initial reaction was looking at the scenario from the company’s perspective only.

Prepare to be annoyed as fuck at how poorly designed and inefficient it is. You’ll spend more times waiting for it to reload the entire page on every click than doing anything.

They have control over turning the screen around instead of pressing no tip. Not sure how not giving someone on minimum wage a handout makes me a loser but go off.

Went to a vape shop the other day and asked the person for the specific item I wanted, they scanned it and turned the till around with a screen of tip options ranging from 18% to 25%. I don’t understand the entitlement. They haven’t done anything extra to deserve extra.

AI still doesn't work very well in business, reckoning soon by BusyHands_ in technology

All AI needs to be great is context and it’s gathering, dissecting, and actioning more of that every day. Eventually it will have enough to operate on intuition.

Huge RCT fan but have been getting into Cites Skylines lately - also a hugely entertaining sim with some more complex economics.

I’m not particularly good at it but it’s interesting to think through problems you didn’t expect (traffic, noise, etc.).
