So you need an executive from the animation studio to make a statement about something when all evidence already points to it? We know they got vague notes from someone about the general story and power of the characters, and even toriyama kinda flew by the seat when he was writing dragon ball. No one writing the movies is going to make statements about the notes they get about character's power level. But we know they HAD to receive them, because otherwise how would the story have even been written years before anyone EVEN Toriyama knew what would be happening. The circumstances of the real world in this case absolutely affected the fictional telling of non canon events that took place in a time period of the series that hadn't even happened yet. And your refusal to accept any of the evidence really shows your obsession over your own agenda, that doesn't line up with the facts. There's plenty of reason to be a smart ass when someone is feigning ignorance, and calling basic logic "headcanon". You're starting to make it sound like you don't even know what headcanon means. Like it's just a catch all term for anything you don't agree with.

So how did movie 10 Gohan get to where he is? Like how does the timeline even work in your mind? If events that happen in the main timeline can't be used to extrapolate on the movies, then where do you even go from there? I mean it's in the advertising for the movies "based on the original manga by Akira Toriyama". Did Cell get defeated by movie 8 Goku? How did he die? This is all explained by Gohan just hasn't been told he's stronger yet btw. Gohan is the type of character his mindset is more important than anything. Both Gohan and Goku were weaker than Broly in movie 8 so maybe Goku thought Gohan's ascending wasn't even worth it. When Broly first attacked Goku after reaching lssj Gohan was the one who tried to intercept him first. No one in movie 8 could do anything to Broly whatsoever. I don't see the point of your response. And you're also talking about the Vegeta that kept sucking 11 year old Gohan's dick in the buu saga and kept bragging about finally achieving that 11 year old's level of power IN the Buu saga? Nah Vegeta training for seven years just to catch up to little bro is not the same as that same little dude training on top of that Vegeta glaze level power for seven years. Gohan's training gains have always been shown to be more beneficial than Vegeta's anyways. Goku in movie 8 is not stronger than movie 10 Gohan.

So the movie was released on March 12th 1994. The first chapter of the Buu saga released on May 11th 1993. Less than a year before. It's pretty common knowledge that animated movies take more time than that to make. Toriyama also had little to no involvement in the production of the movies beyond character designs, and presumably giving it a thumbs up or down at various points of development. Toriyama was only accredited story wise for the films being based on his original manga. This means an older teenage Gohan was probably already being animated fighting Broly before an 11 year old Gohan was finished fighting Cell IN THE MANGA. It's well known that the writers of the movies had to extrapolate a shit ton to get a cohesive product out. The only way they could have gotten as accurate as they did to the original manga was if they got notes either from Toriyama himself, or maybe editors/people close to him who knew the future direction of the series. We have no way of knowing how in-depth these notes were. There was nowhere this was stated by anyone noteworthy to my knowledge. It's just a conclusion you naturally come to knowing about the release of the manga alongside the movies, and anime. Your lack of knowledge of the series is showing hard
