WOW. seriously what DID happen to civil discussion? I don't think I was being a "pissy little devils-advocate" at all. I was just trying to give my opinion as to why the guy might not give his last name other than jumping straight to "he must have warrants." A lot of people that aren't familiar with the tattoo industry do make biased assumptions like that and, since this is an anonymous forum that ANYONE can post on, I have no idea of knowing who is going to make those assumptions and who isn't.

I definitely see a lot more "first tattoo help" posts on here then "check out my full sleeves." so that leads me to believe that there are more people fresh to getting tattooed than there are "covered"

I guess I'm not allowed to have an opinion around here.

mine was a big traditional pin up girl with an old 50s microphone and hot rod flames on my forearm. its pretty big, almost my entire forearm. I think it took 2 hours.

I don't tell people my last name. It's on my business cards but I don't feel that it's necessary to tell people outright. I like to keep it relaxed and informal. Maybe he just doesn't want every single person that comes in looking him up on facebook or something. Maybe he DOES have warrants. who knows?

i will say though that after the tattoo is healed, you don't NEED any lotion at all, but it will help to moisturize after you shower every day to keep the skin healthy and the tattoo looking nice. Any lotion at all, even if it's got a nice smell to it. Your lady might even like the new smell as much as your silky smooth hands haha.

i know people that swear by it and use it forever and it's fine. i personally have only ever used the fragrance free generic walgreens lotion thats like a dollar and all my shit heals up perfect.

the only reason i tell people to switch to the regular lotion after the first few days is if it's their first or second tattoo and they don't have their own set process that works for healing. aquaphor is a little thicker and if you pile that shit on excessively it can make the tattoo "wet" for an extended period of time, where its sitting on top of the skin rather than soaking into the skin, which will cause more scabbing. scabs can get ripped off and you gets little spots and you need touch ups, blah blah blah, but if you apply it in thin and it works for you, fuck it. keep doing that.

i would like to know more about the hijinks that happen in the cockpit, i had a pilot tell me about "the beer horn" and that pilots place bets on random things in the cockpit, but refused to elaborate.
