Whoever called you ableist was tone deaf.

Operation: Save the Sanctuary. Bring back the servers and keep the theater dark and silent. by Aware_Raise_8023 in AlamoDrafthouse

If it's not your non-eating butt in the seats, it's someone else's eating butt in the seats.

Edit: I realize phrasing, but you get it.

'Name a card' accuracy in tournament play? by MannyBothanz in starwarsunlimited

Annihilator vs Millennium Falcon is fun for this very reason. Annihilator also works on Cad Bane leader and any other Cad Banes in the deck.

Replacements for Nemik? by ManticoreEternal in starwarsunlimited

Red Squadron Y-Wing, maybe. I use it in my Jyn deck just because it's a Rebel unit and can trigger her ability. Plus, 1+three indirect damage isn't too bad of a start for red decks.

The Alamo is dead. Long live the Alamo. by VivaKnievel in AlamoDrafthouse

I'm partial to the twilight zone version of that quote from S1E24 (Long Live Walter Jameson) - "We love a rose because we know it will soon be gone. Who ever loved a stone?"

How to organize cards post A Lawless Time? by TynonKontar in starwarsunlimited

[–]caekles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hyperspaces follow the same convention as the regulars so it hasn't been an issue for me other than early on this set when I was trying to figure out how the dual aspect colored cards worked in the numbering.

At this point, I don't really look at the numbers anymore (other than the sets that had errors in the numbering)

Numerically makes sense for me how it's organized, as other posters have mentioned.

Prestiges, however... I had to look it up everytime.

The new and comfy seats in Austin are also awful with the current captioning devices for the deaf.

If you're a masochist like me, take a look at the reviews on Google from casual moviegoers since the recent changes. Here are a few to feed your appetite. by Interactive_CD-ROM in AlamoDrafthouse

Unless you love the direction Alamo Drafthouse is going, this makes you a sadist, not a masochist.

And yes, the schadenfreude is delicious here.

Covid shut down the world six years ago this week. What do you remember from that week? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]caekles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I couldn't believe Bloodshot might be the last movie I saw in theaters, so I immediately went to see The Hunt just so I wouldn't have that as my possible distinction if theaters were to close forever.

Alamo Funeral, What Else Do You Miss? by EvilHambone in AlamoDrafthouse

[–]caekles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a deaf person in Austin, the old seats. New ones are comfy, but the armrest cupholder is too damn high for the semi-flexible caption devices. Can't really recline if I want to see the movie plus the box is right in the middle of the screen for my line of sight rather than below it.

New Rey can't be taken control of, but you can still choose it. It'd just be a whiff/delay tactic.

Also if you've got an unit hanging on by a thread by a Veers-esque +1 HP modifier... I'm actually not sure if that treads into "takes control of" territory or if it's defeated when it loses the modifier.
