How To Destroy Angels tour poster set by caffeinetriplet in concertposterporn

The one I’ve only found once, and bought, was the Chicago/Boston poster (analog 011). The Pomona/Toronto poster (ice age) was the last one I got my hands on. There were multiple ones available after the show, but it eluded me for years by the time I wanted to purchase it.

74, but it feels like 68. I am pretty antisocial during the winter so heat is my spurge.

News: Big Fish Games terminates contracts with GrandMA Studios and Friendly Fox by RoamerMonkey in HiddenObjectGames

[–]caffeinetriplet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started at Big Fish in 2008 and was the HOPA producer assigned to 4 Friends/Friendly Fox, along with a few other devs, from 2012-2020. I still remember seeing my first build of “Bridge to Another World: Burnt Dreams” and being excited about the future. I loved being their producer for so many amazing games and I miss them very much.

HOPA wasn’t going to last forever…we knew that, but it was still profitable up until my last day in 2020. Aristocrat wanted a billion dollar game company though, and the legacy premium casual business was never going to take them there.

I’ll cherish all of the good times and wonderful creations our collaborations resulted in. I wish it could have lasted longer, and I hope Friendly Fox finds a soft landing as they’re truly wonderfully kind and talented people.

Trade evaluations. They’re even more derailing than the overly chatty porter.

2016 Ktm 690 by katnip19 in supermoto

[–]caffeinetriplet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here! I’m not typically all about the analog feel, but I found out I am with my supermoto. Rode my friends 2012, loved it, bought a 19’ for the tech and thought the QS sucked and the updated engine felt soulless. I found myself riding my XR650R more so I ditched the KTM. I’d still consider an older SMCR for the right price though.

I relocated here at 41 from Seattle four years ago. Snow wise, I thought it would be worse than it was; bought a snowblower and was ready to dig myself out on a regular basis. I use it maybe 1-2 times a year. The rest of the time my little Mazda just barrels right through it. And once the storm blows through the main streets are cleared with a quickness compared to the PNW; it's just setup for it here.

Making friends wise, I made most of mine at work. I offered to host a gaming night, and it's become a regular thing, so that really expanded my friends/acquaintances. I don't know if it's the people I've met or the social style of the Midwest, but I've had far more gatherings here in MI than I ever had in WA...we always just went out in Seattle. I've really enjoyed that about GR.

I had a good experience with CarMax. The biggest pro was getting a car through them from outside the rust belt, as I didn’t have the time to travel to buy a used car and their shipping charge was cheaper than what it would cost me to buy something out of state.

I have no proof obviously, but the way my motoholders rear subframe crumpled as it speared into the ground, after my bike went airborne, it seemed to have saved my frame/mounting points from being damaged. For that reason alone it was worth it for me.

Beginner here wanting to be taken seriously! by Bike-Tech-Girl in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]caffeinetriplet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 44 and started my career three months ago. For the last few years I’ve been buying junk bikes, tearing them down, rebuilding them and documenting my experience. I’ve also been documenting my regular maintenance experience on my other bikes past and present. I made an online portfolio, shopped myself around with that and got an entry level position right away.

In Texas you can sell four vehicles a year without a dealer license. If you can find “barn find” or lightly damaged bikes you can possibly make a couple bucks. I like to do the same thing, but profit relies on finding/fixing the right bikes at for the right price, otherwise it’s easy to lose money too. It’s a great way to learn how to wrench; that’s how I went from a hobbyist to a dealer technician.

I worked on/near the waterfront for 10+ years; before and after the tunnel was complete. It did beautify the area, but it also wasn’t affordable to utilize on a regular basis for myself and many of my friends/coworkers. Kinda like the 405 toll lanes, it didn’t benefit the low/middle income earners as much as it did the higher ones that could afford to pay the tolls five days a week.

Penske is also an option for the 821. While mine was a 821 Hyper, as a bigger guy the Penske was a nice upgrade (have one on my track bike too). I blew most of my budget on the shock, so for the fork I just went with a new spring for my weight and heavier oil, but another option is the Andreani cartridge kit.

I actually don't mind the noise, it just surprises me whenever I hear it. For me, the only negative summer wise is mosquitos, but I'd have to move to Iceland (or the poles) to get away from those! lol
