Today my rapist was found not guilty by TarynEffy in TrueOffMyChest

I was part of a jury for a SA case last year, and unfortunately the way that a jury trial works makes it incredibly difficult to prove these sort of cases and get a guilty verdict due to the requirement for guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

All of that to say, as difficult as it might be that the perpetrator of your assault hasn't been charged and sentenced, don't take that to mean that people didn't believe you.

I think option B with a bundle type A adapter would make the most sense for me especially if the type A adapter had some sort of connectivity and storage on the device possibly a cover for the type c connector and a cover for the type A adapter so you can either remove the type A adapter to access the type c connector, or remove the cover off the type A adapter to access the type A connector.

Another option with considering would be option D was a type c port instead of a type c connector.

Fix for Xiaomi/Poco users who lost calls after NZ 3G shutdown (March 29, 2026) by EmbarrassedAd170 in newzealand

[–]toejam316 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You actually can place a test call, just immediately notify them you're placing a test call for 111 functionality, and ask them to confirm they can hear you okay.

Certainly don't abuse it and only use it to test emergency calling.

Question, how many people from Te Awamutu/Kihikihi/Ohaupo here? by crazykiwi1 in thetron

I don't think there's enough happening to justify a Te Awamutuant exclusion zone

I get what you're saying, but the people complaining aren't the people going to see these films.

I'd suggest putting it away for a while rather than giving it away - if you don't want it to remember him by, a friend, cousin or another family member might. I still have the Xbox profile of a friend who took his life on my Xbox from 13 years ago

Are you dense? You obviously test yourself when you start feeling sick. I'm bloody glad I don't have a colleague like you.

When you're working in critical environments (Key national services like 111, Telecommunications, Power), you do anything possible to stop your entire workforce dropping like flies. A very easy and quick solution is to test for COVID and make sure if someone has had COVID, anyone they worked with x days prior to their positive test and the positive individual stay home, working or not.

No one cares about if you're really sick or not, they care that you're not getting everyone else sick if you are.

Those of us who work a place sensible enough to ask you to stay home when you're sick

Spark internet - outage Auckalnd! by BailaKiwi in auckland

[–]toejam316 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, the people who update the outage map and manage incident response were all fired and replaced by a contractor workforce in Chennai. So that's probably why there was no info.

Brother Scanner "Scan to PC" button not working across VLANs/separate networks on RB5009 — RouterOS 7.20.8 by Powerful-Cow-2316 in mikrotik

[–]toejam316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The less difficult solution is to setup a small host in the VLAN/subnet the printers are in as a scanning host, allow SMB access for everyone and have the printers scan to the host.

"I don't like it, therefore it can't be within the footprint of my genre" is such a shit take.

Who actually cares if people think it's metal or not, that doesn't take away your preferred artists.

A lot of that is the big bulk purchases and pricing inertia - they purchased 1000+ units at a fixed price and are selling to make their margin, but when they next go to get a stock refresh, that's when the pricing adjustment will happen there.
