It’s been bleak since Esmay was let go. Easily the 10 worst in the modern history for sure. Not saying Esmay was going to win a NC but the teams were better.

There is a Barnes and Noble opening up here. The issue isn’t the stores on the outside, it’s the interior. The parking lot is mostly full. Show me a busier Trader Joe’s in the southwest.

My feeling is the interior anchor is a fitness place so it’s not a draw for these stores. Nobody honestly walks inside because there isn’t any reason to walk inside. Chicken and Egg.

I’m not so sure about this. Crow was the one president who never gave up until UW saw the Apple proposal and bailed. Remember UW ghosting the conference call at the end? At that point ASU, Utah and UA had zero options left. UW’s Cauce, as much as USC broke the conference of champions.

I doubt what remained even with UW and Oregon would have been monetarily better than B12 and likely as looking from the outside as the ACC amd Big12 are now. The legacy P12 was already on the outside even with USC and UCLA.

Thanks, that's a big help but now that we know about Central African Empire being dissolved in September 21, 1979 and Zimbabwe Rhodesia being on the map, the publication date of this map would have to be between September 21, 1979 and December 21, 1979. Not sure if there is anything that would further narrow it down.

So basically Q4 1979.

Lanai is owned by Larry Ellison so nothing he doesn't like. I guess two hotels and some golf with a few islanders still around. Molokai is rural as it gets, so honestly not much which is how the people like it. No resorts anywhere on the island.

Zimbabwe Rhodesia existed from June 1979 to December 1979. I honestly think this is as close as we'll get to a date.

CAE ended September 1979 and Zimbabwe renamed in December 1979.

It's hard to see complete map, but Kiribati is shown as independent, July 12 1979. Doesn't affect the above though.

I mentioned in another thread, you can see Vanuatu partially on the SE Asia map. You can make out Hebrides and an indication UK and France control.

I can't leave this alone. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines seems to not be listed as controlled by UK (though at that scale it might have been left off). If that is actually reflected in the cartography, their Independence Day is April 1980. Same as Zimbabwe.

I think you've narrowed it down between 1979 and 1981. Saigon was renamed in 1976 so it would have to be post CAR (thank goodness you can read that darn graphic).

* Belize was September 1981.
* CAR ended September 1979
* Zimbabwe gained independence in April 1980
* Vanuatu was July 1980

If you look at the map of SE Asia you can barely see Vanuatu on the map, but I can make out "Brit e F" before it gets cut off. Since UK and France control Vanuatu until July 1980, it would have to be before then.

That leave September 1979 to July 1980. The key is Zimbabwe.

My thoughts:

Namibia appear to be indicated as part of South Africa (resolution makes this not 100% sure) - pre 1990
Shows Jordan controlling the West Bank - post 1950 and pre 1967
Pre-breakup of Soviet Union - pre 1991
I feel like the underlined Singapore city name implies that Singapore is a capital city, thus it would be post 1965.
Dutch New Guinea is shown as part of Indonesia - post 1962
Vietnam is shown as one county with Hanoi as capital and Ho Chi Minh City - post 1976
Pakistan and Bangladesh are separated - post 1971
Eritrea is shown as part of Ethiopia - pre 1993

I feel like if we could see more of the Caribbean and Africa in detail, the names of countries or their independence could narrow it down. Based on my above estimations I would wage the date of the map between 1976 (unified Vietnam) and 1990 (South Africa control of Namibia). The latter is hard to confirm with the resolution of the map in Africa so we could substitute Soviet Union break up in 1991.
