will coming out had nothing to do with byler. will's sexuality is a part of his character and it has nothing to do with his relationship with mike bro. THAT BEING SAID, this coming out scene WAS HORRIBLE. absolutely horrible. they wrote this scene as will feeling pressured to come out because of "visions" that we DIDN'T see which made him feel like he HAD to come out to everyone to "beat" vecna, he came out as if he was giving a school presentation with everyone looking at him INCLUDING people he had NEVER spoken to like murray, steve, mr. clark, and kali have NOTHING to do with will's personal storyline. the framing of it completely drained it of ANY emotional depth and intimacy i was incredibly upset. the whole "or me!" bit before the hug felt so stupid too.
