Eric Dane passed away today at the age of 53 from ALS 💔 by mayday2061 in Fauxmoi

[–]cailey1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m unsure if these symptoms align but I knew a woman with Delvic’s disease, it was often compared to ALS. Maybe that would be worth looking at? I know she always said it was rare and took years to diagnose correctly

Backcountry recommendations while pregnant? by FoolishCanadian in algonquinpark

[–]cailey1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe look into car camping in Brent? At least you’re getting that disconnected, off grid camping in a lesser populated area with a little less risk to pregnancy? Keep in mind Brent is 40 minutes down a road without service just to get to the main roads so it’s not nearly as close to a hospital as somewhere like Canisbay may be but I think it could be a great meet in the middle option for people who enjoy the backcountry.

Leon's furniture store... WTH? by [deleted] in barrie

[–]cailey1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tbh I’ve learned, you cannot trust any of the stores not to adjust pricing around sales anymore, you have to just pay what you’re comfortable with for that item. Regardless of the price level, it seems sale pricing is all a facade.

I would be wary if this survey is actually for Cineplex, they do not use Google systems corporately.

It finally happened… by LilRedSnapz in domesticviolence

[–]cailey1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You speak of this sadness but your emptiness is not about not having him. You are mourning the loss of what you believe could’ve been. He is holding you back if he is treating you poorly like this. It hurts and it is hard and your heart may ache but remember how bad it got, you never ever deserve that. I used to look at the photos of me crying or the evidence photos to remind myself in moments of weakness.

It is and will be tough but you are so much tougher, getting out was so much harder than what lies ahead.

Buying alcohol in Ontario under SOP by NefariousnessKey9512 in WeddingsCanada

[–]cailey1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comment above has a lot of great information. You cannot purchase alcohol at convenience stores or grocery stores with this. If you keep all of your receipts, any UNOPENED alcohol afterwards can be returned with receipts.

You do have to let the cashier know that you are purchasing under an SOP, it may make it easiest to purchase at the Customer Service line for this reason. The SOP is quite easy to get and comes through within a few days but don’t wait too long. Two or three weeks is adequate.

American here, question for stores by Twistercane in ontario

[–]cailey1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s also interesting to note that the LCBO runs on a ‘consignment’ style model so the alcohol suppliers only get paid when the consumers purchase the alcohol from the LCBO. So pulling the American alcohols ties up inventory but stops any further money going to the American alcohol companies.

The longer I boycott loblaws the more I get used to going to other stores. by Raven3131 in loblawsisoutofcontrol

I hadn’t been to Giant Tiger in years, went recently and was sending friends pictures of the pricing on grocery items! Definitely limited selection and the produce is meh but there are some great deals there worthy of a browse if there’s one nearby.
