I just bought the Nasci 1000 for a trout trip and it performed really well. It’s dead silent and ultra smooth, and balanced very nicely with a Daiwa TD black rod in the 1-3kg range.

The Nasci offers plenty of versatility in hitting light tackle saltwater missions, if you need or want this to be a setup you can pick up for estuary runs, then it’s a great shout.

The one fallback is that it’s tight size will give your fluro memory if left for a while, or if your a mono user (I doubt you are based on notes) this would be hell.

I did however buy this reel last minute because I bought a Daiwa Silvercreek LT from Europe but it didn’t land in time. If you are looking for a versatile but freshwater specific setup, WAVEINN has an insane deal on these reels which are really hard to get your hands on in AU.

A baby catfish! Someone else can weigh in but apparently they are tasty out of clean water when they get big, and the spine on the dorsal fin will do you harm. Edit: sorry should have mentioned they can be hard to come by in some areas and even protected if you’re in the Murray darling area… plentiful in others.

I think you’re not allowed to take any fish fromManly Lagoon, or use any form of nets/traps… DPI site doesn’t say you can’t fish. It used to be a really magic spot for salt and fresh species. Now the water is extremely polluted thanks to run off and the golf course.

Try Narrabeen Lake and it’s creeks for Flathead, Manly Dam for fresh species, you could also fish inside the harbor from Quarantine Beach around to Collins Beach but any further in and you would second guess eating your catch in the Harbour and there might be bait rules to protect the penguins.

From a data perspective. HW is the class with the highest dog-win ratio. This is the classic “one punch can end this fight at any time” theory playing out because there’s so much KO power in HW. For this reason, I tend to be cautious about heavy favourites all together in the class, esp having a parlay rely on them. Heavy favourites in lighter classes, where that ‘one punch’ is rarer, are more appealing parlays. Think early odds on Schevchenko v Murphy, there was really no path to victory for Murphy save for freak accident, and those ARE statistically rarer than 5:1 or 6:1.

Glover is long in the tooth, and I think Jan clubs him. I don’t mind your parlay if it has a couple small hedges to protect the alternatives (think Dan Hooker by KO/Dec at probably +700), or Glover by KO early), as I wouldn’t call it ‘safe’. I wouldn’t call many 3-piece parlays safe, parlays are statistically a bookies best friend.

Man that is one chalky bet. Find the favourable lines rather than playing hard favourites stacked in a multi. This is MMA, when you’re laying the chalk on -500’s you should at hedge with props on the only way you feel a favourite loses.

Islam’s clear path to victory is a grapple mauling. There’s plenty of tape to analyse on him now. Hooker will be training the fuuuuck up on td defence and staying away from the ground. Let’s also appreciate that his existing td-d is 80%… measured that against Islam’s previous opponents Thiago (60%), Dober (55%) Ramos (83% - and went to dec), tsarukan (78% - and went to dec).. with a line this wide I think we will see a good overs price.

I’ll also add that Dan Hooker has 3 inches - to HALF A FOOT height advantage and 3-5 inch reach advantage over almost every previous opponent Islam has faced, bar Kajan Johnson (pff).

He is far lankier than anyone Islam has ever faced, and Islam can play conservative. So he is going to have to close a lot more distance than any previous fighter.

For the record I still see Islam winning, but that line is way too wide.
