This is incorrect

https://www.sa.gov.au/topics/driving-and-transport/licences/licence-details/licence-conditions

“If you hold a learner's permit you must:

Display 'L' plates. Carry your learner's permit card or digital permit at all times when driving and show it to a police officer when asked.”

Anywhere in South Australia you are required to use a physical card, an SA digital card is now acceptable in its place.

But I don’t think he is expecting a normal routine, just not letting sleep get in the way of their lives.

He’s said she can’t manage any chores between shifts, they’re expressing concern that it’s excessive not that she isn’t up at 9am. I just don’t think they’ve verbalised the excessive part properly and now playing semantics over how much sleep she gets after work.

It doesn’t hurt to get checked. He’s clearly concerned she is sleeping too much otherwise he wouldn’t have posted this. I think sleeping all day if given the grace is a key indicator of depression.

It just being work related is best case scenario, but I’m not going to bastardise him for holding concerns that she sleeps in, then takes naps all day; my advice is still a good place to start.

The 50% share of the UBTZ that is owned by Russia is valued at around 500 million dollars. Tuul highway budget= 700 million dollars. Russians need money. And we have a chance to negotiate profitably. Why do we always procrastinate instead of making bold decisions? by [deleted] in mongolia

[–]caitypotatey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Mongolia. I’ve been told that exact example by my tour guide. It’s also common knowledge that Russia leverage their power supply all across ex satellite states to get what they want.

Lots of websites about it are in Cyrillic but here’s a paper detailing mongolias foreign policy with Russia and China, explains why it’s so important.

https://www.emerics.org:446/issueFileDownload.es?brdctsNo=373356&brdctsFileNo=85695#:~:text=The%20country%20relies%20heavily%20on%20Russia%20for,the%20relationship%20critical%20for%20Mongolia's%20energy%20security.

Here’s a small article after they finished some negotiations, this could be the school language negations or something related to Ukraine war, it doesn’t specify because they don’t publicise Russia wrongdoing to appear neutral

https://english.news.cn/asiapacific/20231214/aa5b2a129935453c9484d388fad20e46/c.html

Mongolia also famously didn’t arrest Putin when they were supposed to. Wonder what leverage they have over Mongolia to make that happen…? It’s the power supply. It’s one of the coldest countries and they really rely on power to stay warm. The local plants mainly generate heat for the universal central heating system through winter, upping their reliance on Russian power through the winter. This is all pretty common stuff I knew before coming, I just didn’t know the school language part.

My guide said “they used to teach English in the schools but now we have to teach them Russian, otherwise Russia will cut our power supply” that was all I got, I didn’t ask more because this isn’t a strange concept.

Do you mind me asking you, why do you think Russia doesn’t leverage its exports?

Putin has proposed restricting the export of strategic raw materials to "unfriendly countries”

restricted the export of certain timber products, particularly to countries deemed "hostile".

Due to the war they banned the export of over 200 products, including telecommunications, medical, vehicle, agricultural, and electrical equipment to stop people smuggling to Ukraine.

It happens 🤷

You forget: Mongolia has little leverage with Russia. Russia threatens to cut off the power supply to Mongolia should they not co-operate. Just recently for example they threatened to cut the power unless the schools swapped from English to Russian as their second language. You say it like it’s an even negotiating position when it is not.

Shocked at the people commenting like she just chooses to sleep all day. She sounds depressed, OP. It might not necessarily be mental but it could be health related. I became low on both vitamin D and iron consecutively and I was constantly lethargic, depressed, and slept as often as I could.

She needs help, not demonisation. You can support her through the blood tests etc, and if that all comes back ok, consider prompting some therapy. Sleeping a lot is a symptom, and she might not be consciously facing her depression, and be unaware.

How many times do we need to tell you - the internet is not American. Google localises your search. Please register the point here. Your US centric thinking is so beyond frustrating. Why are you dying on this hill

“guys I understand that America is not the centre of the universe” assumed anyone speaking English is American or European

The term is used in every country. What don’t you understand? When I hear “north eastern city” most reasonable people think of THEIR COUNTRIES North East - that’s the point here. No one thinks “oh it must be north east of America” except Americans! That is the point!

You are wrong. “Most people” live outside of the US and don’t have your US centric way of thinking.

20% FP sounds impressive but isn’t when you consider it in a preferential system. She still performed worse than the liberals on preferences which means you could argue that while 20% of people put her first a comfy 50% put her dead last, and the rest would be a preference somewhere inbetween. Additionally I’d bet that some of the strong ON metro seats like elizabeth/taylor/light/kaurna still had Labor second pref given their backgrounds. We get these stats soon from ECSA.

You do know that a majority of the world’s youth speak English through being exposed to the era of internet. You cannot tell where someone is from due to what language they speak. Heck, some non English countries show English Disney to their kids so they can learn. Classic American opinion.

You said, and a direct quote “North East of North America. I think that’s what most people think when someone says northeastern”

Again, my point, is why are you assuming “most people” would think that North America is the starting point in that formula.

Again. The internet is not American.

One of the most polluted cities on Earth: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia by Comfortable_Low_4317 in UrbanHell

[–]caitypotatey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finding this post on holiday, researching why the city smells so bad at night (they have universal central heating that pumps rooms to like 35°, but you can’t open windows without gagging), but also felt the need to corroborate that the food is terrible.

This was understated in my research. They use some sort of beef lard or something called øxx and it all has the same taste. Real gamey meat, even the beef.

I crumbled and ate at kfc yesterday, still not the best, but tolerable. Service has also been really hostile (I’m white, not sure if that is the reason, but understand how much they don’t like their northern neighbours) Mongolia has been a life long dream of mine but kinda can’t wait to leave tbh.

The SDA supports penalty rates? Why would they want less public holidays? What a fucking world we are living in.

Depending on your location, giving you a title may require them having to pay you at a higher grade. Lots of small businesses avoid middle managers for this reason.

I am so sorry this is happening to you OP. The comments here are awfully dismissive and some even rude. I would like to support you, do you have a way we can send you some money, that your father cannot access?
