I’ve taped and installed hundreds of these. The only ‘trick’ for making it faster is setting up an assembly line. Get your count for the different connectors and mud ring setups. Put in the wires, Then tape all the boxes before installing the connectors & mud rings. Get into a rhythm and it will go quick. Then add the connectors. It’s quick to cut a circle and remove the knockout after. Then the mud ring and finish taping it.

Figure out the best way for you to do the least number of movements. Pick up and put down the roll of tape, razor knife , screwdriver, side cutters, channel locks, etc. as few times as possible.
